Jason Collier looked a little rusty, but his performance was very good considering his long layoff and lack of practice. Rudy can use him to back up Cato and Jackson and / or play with either of them at PF if we need more size and range. Collier is going to be a very positive factor in our race for the playoffs. True, he needs to work harder with Mr. Mean in learning how to be the Mr. Clean of the glass. But, IMO, he can do it. Go, Jason, go!

You caught me, Treeman. Dave Collier was a homicide detective I knew years ago. I had a brainblip. "Dave" is corrected to "Jason" now.

I like the fact that he's got a nice hook shot. With his size, if he gets consistent with it, they won't be able to stop him. And, he can shoot from outside. If he stays healthy, I'm looking forward to seeing how his game has developed by the end of the season.

I think if he plays the way he did last night, he will be a very big positive for the Rockets. I knew he had that range but it looks like he's added a few low post moves like the hook he showed us. The only minus that I can see is that his defense was a little bit lacking but that may have been due to his being out of shape. I think if he can get a little bit more conditioned. he'll have a good chance of being our starting center.

I like Collier. I think he is HEAD AND SHOULDERS
about the Mcilvanes, Dudleys, even Ervin Johnsons
of the league. ONCE HE GETS HIS DEFENSE in order
he will be a Top Tier Backup Center

    For kicks.
Name the Top Five Back Up centers in the League.

    or call it

Who would you rather have as backup than Collier

I bet it is a lean list
