I know that college baseball is not that big of a deal to most casual sports fans, but wow......what an amazing couple of games today. Crazy back-and-forth game between ASU and Nebraska and then the Bears coming back from 7 DOWN to win.....unbelievable game especially if you're a Baylor fan

Any thoughts on Texas-Baylor game tomorrow, playing for the 6th time this year?

Sure. It's going to be a gawd-awful game that you and 5 other people will see.

I hear the winner of the CWS gets a free sundae at Dairy Queen afterwards. That would be sweet.

I think the next possibly two games will be great. The CWS is my second favorite college sporting event outside of the first two days of March Madness. I went in 2002 when the Horns beat South Carolina for the title and had a blast. The city goes all out for this 10 day event, not to mention decent casinos. Either next year or 2007 I'm planning on going up there for the entire week.

Also, by judging the crowd at BW3 last night, there are more than 5 people who will care about this game.

I was watching these highlights and the first thing that went through my mind was if you hit a grounder halfway decently, it is going to absolutely kill the fielders. Some of these balls really took off from the aluminum bats. I wouldn't be surprised if the NCAA goes to wooden bats in the next couple of years. And it is not like they just started this year with aluminum bats, but for some reason, it seems that the balls are really jumping off those bats. I mean when a lefty fakes bunt and can still pull the ball and then it takes a hop that even Yao couldn't field at 1B, something is inside those bats. ;)

actually, the bats have been changed. scoring and offensive numbers, in general, are way down. the aluminum bat effect has been marginalized.

I gotta throw out the Sic 'em! for my Bears tonight.

So far it's scoreless after one and a half innings.

    Baylor is 4-0, 4-1, 4-2 against Texas.

    That's 0-2 when it counts.

The look on Reid Brees face was classic. From thinking you scored the go ahead run to find out you set up the inning ending double play.

Then LaMotta's face when Wheeless cranked it out. That was an exciting inning and a half.

What a great freaking baseball game. Good pitching. Amazing defense. Clutch hitting. That was fun and it's only going to get better. Whomever Texas plays in the finals is in for a hell of a time. What can you do when everyball you hit could get caught. You literally have to hit it out of the park to get on with these guys.

This CWS in general has been fantastic

    GO HORNS!

Congrats to the Horns. A fun game to watch with the score going back and forth. Baylor may have won all the regular season games, but Texas won when it matter the most.

Still Baylor should not hang their heads. Before this year, the Bears had never won a CWS game.....now they've got two wins under their belt. Alot to bulid on for an up-and-coming program.

Good luck to the Horns in the CWS finals....bring the title back to Texas.
