A lot better match ups this week than week 1... A few upsets last week showed vulnerability for a few teams that had hopes at BCS bowls. A few surprise teams also emerged last week. USF Bulls look pretty solid... coming in ranked at #23. Baylor is also ranked coming in this week... should be a great week for college football. Louisville showing its truth... they're simply just not a good team. Big East is loaded with ****ty teams as usual. Game after this.. ASU has some fire power to compete against Missouri.
Agreed. They remind me of Mizzou's jerseys when they go all black. The Missouri QB, James Franklin, looks pretty good. If he keeps it up, I might follow him throughout the season. He took a vicious shot to the chest near the goal line.
Mizzou's goal line offense is pathetic. They were lucky to score that TD after wasting the first two plays on what everybody knew they would call.
Mizzou's overrated... they struggles last week too. Franklin is still young. It'll be a long season for them. I like ASU's jerseys.
As a reward for their outstanding performance last night, Louisville be invited to join the Big12. So very excited to replace A&M and Nebraska with them!
Say what? They took an Arizona State team favored to win its division in the Pac 12 to overtime on the road, and were a missed field goal away from winning it. Franklin was 26 for 42, 319 yards, 2 TD, 0 INT and had an additional 59 yards and a TD on the ground. I'll agree that he/they struggled last week, but to bash Franklin or conclude it'll be a "long season" based on last night seems a little bizarre.
Franklin, by himself, is almost enough reason to watch Mizzou this year. It's amazing last night was only the 2nd start of his career. Even if this season doesn't turn out all that great in wins and losses, he represents hope.
Yeah, Franklin has a lot of promise. Mizzou definitely has a good thing going with spread QBs from greater Dallas. I still think 8-4 is a realistic goal for Mizzou this year. That assumes losses at OU and A&M, and being able to split OSU at home and Baylor on the road. I'd be pleased with that in what's basically a transition year, and then making a legit run the next two years when Franklin is an upperclassman.
