Well I will tell this board one thing: The old "U" (Miami Hurricanes) would have never lost to a joke program like North Carolina. Yea, yea, I know that they have a decent record and Butch Davis (former Miami coach) is their coach but outside of having Lawrence Taylor and Julius Peppers, what is their history? They don't have one because they have always been and always will be a basketball school. The Miami teams of the '80s and early '90s would be rolling those chumps. Yet, I don't even know when the last time that Miami (the current version) has beaten that school. Randy Shannon is now 0-3 and Jacory Harris threw 4 ints, 2 of them going back for TDs (he had a Cutleresque game). So, Miami is now 7-3 with games left against a surprising Duke team and then South Florida - hopefully they can win those 2 games and finish 9-3 but a good BCS bowl game is out of the question now. Hopefully, they can build on this season and be even better next year - they can start by finally beating damn North Carolina!!!
No idea either. Tech has a real problem but I guess since the season is pretty much over it doesn't matter we are playing for either the Holliday Bowl or Texas Bowl. Sheffield is pretty much playing football on one leg, Potts played well after coming back in 4th but that could have been the prevent defense Ok State was playing.
For all of us that suffered thru last year's gut-wrenching loss to Utah, today's game is for you: TCU 55 Utah 28 The BCS Championship Game would be nice, but more than likely I see the Frogs playing the loser of the SEC Championship Game in the Sugar Bowl.
Bama or Florida would give more trouble to Texas than TCU.. I don't think that game would be close If Texas played TCU... Offense for Texas is good enough to score on that TCU offense, I don't think TCU could score on Texas just as much though because of Texas' stifling D.
Well that's fine... you can see the misery happen right before your eyes, it just wouldn't be a pretty sight.
You have GOT to be kidding. TCU is the real deal. I swear I get so sick of Big 12 schools' senses of entitlement. Nice OOC scheduling this year BTW.
Can someone explain this to me: Why do people on espn say that OSU just clenched a rose bowl berth. Isnt the rose bowl the bcs championship game this year? Is another bowl being called the rose bowl? Im so confused
It's not Texas' fault that they had Utah scheduled for the past two years, and were subsequently backed out on. And no, it's not easy to find a good OOC replacement on short notice. Most of these schedules are done many years in advance, so when a team backs out on you late... there's not a lot you can do about it.
