Today's the big day. Here's to my 'Horns somehow pulling top RB recruit Darrell Scott from CU! *crosses fingers*
Here's a recruit story for you: http://www.nytimes.com/2008/02/06/sports/ncaafootball/06reno.html?ref=sports
espn reporting pryor wont sign...come on! become a buckeye! http://sports.espn.go.com/ncaa/recruiting/football/news/story?id=3233143 Pryor reportedly not ready to commit on Wednesday ESPN.com news services Updated: February 6, 2008, 1:02 AM ET * Comment * Email * Print A number of schools will likely have to wait a little longer than anticipated to find out if they're landing their quarterback of the future. Jeannette (Pa.) High School quarterback Terrelle Pryor told the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review late Tuesday night that he will not sign a national letter of intent on Wednesday. "I'm 100 percent sure I'm not signing," Pryor said, according to the newspaper. "It's a tough decision and I'm still trying to decide between Ohio State, Michigan and Penn State." Pryor did tell the newspaper that he had eliminated Oregon from his list because it was too far from home. The 6-foot-6, 227-pound Pryor is ESPN's fourth-ranked prospect overall and top quarterback. He was expected to appear on ESPNU at noon on Wednesday to possibly announce his intentions. Jeannette coach Ray Reitz told the Tribune-Review that Pryor will meet with the media, but it was not clear if he would appear on the program.
thats what i heard to. seems like he would come to UT since they would probably be able to give him a starting spot as a freshman. too bad
I talked with Matt Malatesta from Rivals.com yesterday and he said that he felt that Scott would be signing with UT today. He came onto 97.5 The Ticket around 4:30 last night. Also, Matt and Randy McIlvoy from Channel 2 will be hosting a special edition of the High School Round-up Show tonight live from 5:00 - 6:30 on ESPN 97.5 The Ticket to recap all of the big news on National Signing Day. Be sure to tune in and call in with your comments. -KO40A
Scott to CU is great. Texas already landed Hills right? The Big 12 needs to add some depth. Would love to see CU, KSU, and Nebraska improve ASAP.
Pryor is doing his best to lowball everybody and delay things around these parts with his decision. Nobody seems to know anything other than that Penn State is the potential new favorite now.
It's very hard to go against family. Also, CU can literally pull out all the stops for a single recruit (and by all accounts, did so). That's a nice ego boost to an 18 year old kid. Seems like Texas is batting a big donut in last minute out-of-state recruiting battles, at least since Chris Simms.
Anyone heard anything more on Rod Davis? He's supposed to announce tonight. Don't know if thats a good sign for the Horns.
