Either you're reporting really really breaking news or you're about to get pwned.

This is very interesting news. I'll be interested in seeing what he does at Miami. I'll also be interested in seeing what Texas Tech does without him.

This is certainly a dumb thread.

First, nothing states that Leach has taken the job. Second, do you really think this "knowledge" of yours was anything more than BS talk. Third, while I love Tech, Miami is a more storied program. He'd be dumb not to contemplate an offer, if any really exists.

In the future, don't put rumors on here as fact. It has always been frowned upon.

Must be an Aggie. If so, I totally understand your giddiness over seeing him leave. He sort of owns you, if your an Aggie that is.

Like the one about Vince Young scoring a 6 on the Wonderlich????

Lighten up, Francis. And spare me your sanctification of the BBS. This rumor has legs and as was reported in The Miami Herald Leach is getting interviewed.

If I wanted to report an unconfirmed internet style rumor I'd start a thread about Longhorn offensive cordnator Greg Davis getting the Tech job.

Wow. Keep talking. You're just coming off as dumber and dumber.

The article you posted has nothing even remotely close to being a confirmed acceptance.

Fatts it's going to be awesome if he takes the job and you become pwned on this thread. Though not exactly anything new. Perhaps if T-tech can raise enough money from the various middle managers and other big guns it calls an alumni base maybe you'll be able to save him......not.

That gimmick offense with those insanely fast, strong, and tall Miami recievers. Big top recruit o-lineman and tight ends. Running backs to rely on in the redzone. Typically stingy physical defense. And way more talented QBs. Dangerous combo, in that conference anyways.

Regardless of anything, I certainly won't look nearly as r****ded as percicles will if he doesn't take it. Not sure how I get "owned" by something that is only a rumor right now.

I certainly hope he doesn't take it, but I would understand if he did.

Regardless, nothing factual has been reported yet, so all of this is moot.

Certainly grasping at straws today aren't we, which isn't unusual for yourself, either.

Agreed. I've never really liked Leach as a head coach because it seems he just doesn't give a lick about defense. They lead the NCAA in offense year in year out, which was very impressive being in the Big 12 (a couple years back), but I just couldn't believe how bad the defenses were on his team.

But back on point, Leach's offense with the recruits Miami usually gets (if it doesn't take a hit) could be a very very good team.

I'll be sad to see him leave.

But I can't be upset if he leaves he'd win muiltiple national chamionships with Miami.

Though I'm not sure if he's what Miami needs Tech isnt exactly the most discilplined team out there.

If this happens Miami will instantly become my 2nd favorite team. Mike Leach is an awsome guy. I've met him a few times and we've caught him drunk off his butt a few times out in the Depot.

Tech's has been gradualy been getting better though that came to a hault this year. Mainly b/c of the QB play and I think teams are more prepared for tech's offense than they have been in the past.

But I think Leach can continue to build this program up despite this years dissapointing season.

I really don't think he will leave but he'd be dumb not to think this "offer" over.

From what we're hearing is that if it gets done, it's done by Friday, with a Leach presser in Miami this week.

Tech would then name one of their offensive assistants as the coach for the bowl game.

Supposedly on the TTU Head Coach-search short list are Briles and an unnamed defensive coordinator.

Wow, bringing that gimmick college offense to the U, last time they'll ever see a player drafted. Tech is a joke, pretty sad that Miami has to resort to Mike f'n Leach. How the mighty have fallen.
