If only UH could've won that UTEP game by a decent score as they should...

If you really want to see the BCS blow up, you should root for something like this to be the national title game.

Boise is going to win out, so most likely the Coogs would have still been stuck playing in the Liberty Bowl anyway and we would really be pissed. Win out this year and end up in the top 10-12. With next years non-conference schedule the Coogs will play in a BCS game if they go undefeated.

I'm a bit surprised UT is ahead of Boise. Strength of schedule

Man seeing UH at 17 is great, but that UTEP game hurts so much, we could be pushing top 5 or 6 right now...

Boise is actually ahead of UT in computers. Boise at 5, UT at 6. But, UT is ahead in polls. Assuming both win out, UT's sos and computers will improve while Boise's will get weaker due to the weak WAC teams.

Iowa, Boise State, Cincinnati, and TCU should all be ranked ahead of Texas in all the polls

this is everything that is wrong with CFB.

polls suck. computers suck. peoples opinion (mine included) suck.

this shouldn't be what determines which team is better than another.

I couldnt agree more with you.

Trust me, no one hates the polls/BCS crap more than me, but this is the system that we are stuck with for the foreseeable future.

Working within the system we have, Texas should not be ranked ahead of the teams I mentioned in my previous post

TCU hasn't played anyone as good as Oklahoma or Tech, really. Cinci might have - South Florida - but that's about it.

Iowa and BSU, I could definitely understand being ranked higher at this point, though Iowa has struggled quite a bit against teams like Northern Iowa as well.

When you have a league with 120 teams, there's no way to decide a champion without heavily relying on the opinions of people.

I don't follow CFB all together. I just root for the Longhorns, so I'm going to assume your case for Boise, Iowa, Cincy etc...is valid.

but...UT can only play the teams on their schedule, and they are winning those games. I just think it sucks that they are dropping because people and computers don't like how they are winning.

    meh....anyway...carry on.

    Failure post....

Texas also gets consideration from their preseason ranking... which was No.2... none of those teams were as high as Texas last year, Boise was close... You can't argue that those teams are better than Texas.... because they've all played different teams... Texas is an elite team anyways... none of them would have a chance against the Horns.

As far as the rankings go, I like em.

The only ranking that matter is the last week's. I'm just happy my Longhorns are undefeated so far.
