I want to checkout the Grove, that's about it. I hate ****ing college kids. Except for the drunk chicks.
Madison, WI is underrated. Very cool place Tempe is just a suburb of Phoenix. Not really the classic college town State College, PA is an outstanding place on gameday in the Fall
I'd like to check out Boulder. Now that I'm in DC I'm going to hit up Charlottesville, VA and State College, PA eventually.
I've been to the following: Lincoln, NE - Texas-NU in 2002, 2010 -> good football history, but town is in middle of nowhere Fayetteville, AR - Texas-Arkansas in 2004 -> nice stadium, great experience, nice area, good nightlife Columbus, OH - Texas-OSU in 2005 -> sucked, horrible fans. don't go here Boulder, CO - Texas-CU in 2008 -> beautiful town, terrible fans Oxford, MS -Texas-Ole Miss in 2012. The Grove should be on every college football fan's bucket list. Great time there with great hosts. College Station, TX - weird place, but everyone's friendly, and enjoy the good natured smack talk Waco, TX - horrible Chapel Hill, NC - went for b-school interview. gorgeous town and good bars on Franklin St. Charlottesville, VA - cool town with some decent bars, historical campus at UVA, rolling hills, but very far out of the way
Graduating from Penn State in May. Ditto on the State College recommendations. The winters here are brutal, but the fall is a great time of year. Spring is also great, but the spring semester is practically over by the time the weather changes. Have also heard great things about Madison from friends that went to Wisconsin for undergrad. Want to visit Ann Arbor, MI; Athens, GA; Eugene, OR; and Columbia, Mo.
Athens, GA, and Charlottesville, VA, are at the top of my list with Madison. I don't think you can really consider Raleigh a college town, but I dug it. Didn't make it through Durham or Chappel Hill when we were out that way.
Heard Chapel Hill, NC is a beautiful place with friendly folks and fun things to do. Never been myself, though.
San Luis Obispo, CA wins the award for nicest college town I've been to (Cal Poly). The place is absolutely gorgeous
Athens, GA is awesome (I used to go to UGA, so I'm a bit biased), Asheville, NC is also pretty cool. Clemson is alright, but it's pretty far out of the way I would like to go to Boulder,CO Madison,WI and Bloomington, IN, Oxford, Ann Arbor, Tuscaloosa
I know there's a college there, but is Asheville really a college town? I have a hard time calling Austin that as well nowadays. Anyway, Asheville is amazing. We spent one night there last spring and we can't wait to go back.
Of these, Oxford and Gainesville prob has the best women Cali is the bombs. Austin (again) Baton Rouge (again) Tallahassee (again) Auburn Tuscaloosa (again) Anywhere South Cali is cool too
