(sorry to preach to the choir......)

    Translating for Van Chancellor.

Lord it was painful to watch and listen..... I mean I cant even understand 1/2 of the stuff that comes out of this guys mouth.

And somebody please realize that Cynthia Cooper is just embarassing herself on a nightly basis........ She still looks constipated..... and put your hands down for chrissake.

    Had to vent.......

Van Chancellor's voice sounds like a mouth harp. What happened to Bullard?

"There's no doubt in my mind about it. At this particular time, I think you have to push the bas-kit-bawl and look for a three-bawl. No question about it."

Van Chancellor would not bother me in the least in Cooper's job, but watching Cooper attempt to make intelligent statements is like eating ground glass. I have literally skipped the entire halftime show (that I used to enjoy), even the segments featuring TMac and Yao. As it is, I also keep the TV turned down during the game itself just to avoid VC's horribly grating voice.

If anyone in the Rox organization is litening (Tim, anyone), please listen to the fans and put Bullard back next to Worrell, where he did an INCREDIBLE job while VC was recuperating from surgery. Bullard is well spoken, has a very pleasant voice, and I love his references to the people he played with and against.

Van Chancellor makes me want to turn the TV down altogether and listen to music rather than the game and, as I have said before, I would rather eat ground glass than listen to Coop speak.

I thought about creating a drinking game where Rockets fans take a drink every time Van Chancellor says "tre-main-dus"...but then I thought better of killing half the city's Rockets fans with alcohol poisoning.

All this makes me wish for the WNBA to fold and spare us this shameful cross-marketing.

I mute the TV during the local broadcasts, and don't have a radio around to fill in. I'd still rather go with no commentary than that Mississippi water torture.

Yeah its REALLY bad. I was watching the Kings game with my girlfriend and we couldnt help but laugh every time the dude spoke. I tried to do my best Mississippi, swamp buggy, back woods accent, but nothing beats the original.

PLEASE someone listen to our cry........

Fire Van and Coop before all broadcasting cred is lost.......

Makes you miss Malosky and Calvin doesnt it guys???

Rocket broadcasts truly are awful these days. Van's voice drives me to turn on the radio and mute the tv by the 2nd quarter of every game. I keep trying to give him a chance, but it is just too bad. As for Coop, what else really needs to be said besides that she has no business being on tv, plain and simple.

Once you get past the accent (if it bothers you) he is pretty enjoyable. When he subbed for Calvin last year I thought he did a better job as far as analysis.

VC doesn't even know who's on the Rockets' roster. And someone should teach him the rule differences between the WNBA and the NBA. Maybe someone should give the refs a refresher course too ;)

Jeff Haggadorn took Malosky's job and Jeff is FAR better than Malosky ever was. The Rockets never had a halftime sidekick until Cooper.

Yeah thats right. Id still rather see Malosky and those big chops rather than Haggadorn and his sidekick punching doll........

That was a great..... uhhhhh..... great move by Yao in the first....... uhhhhh...... period. I could just see...... uhhhh....... the focus and the......uhhhhhh..... intensity that came from the bench...... wow..... that was...... uhhhhhh...... big.

Seriously, who is hiring the broadcasters these days? First Coop, and now Van.

It tells you about the sorry state of broadcasting when scores of people long for the return of Calvin Murphy.
