crap, i guess i got to buy the general sale then. should i use houstontoyotacenter.com or paceconcerts.com??? which one will have the least traffic you think?
the funny thing with the coldplay fan club offer is that the fan club members are not given the chance to buy the best seats on the floor. that goes to general purchasing public.
I really want to go to this show, but damn....$76 for floor seats (plus all the BS fees)?? Toyota Center is so massive that I really don't think it'd be worth it to go and sit anywhere besides the floor. If I'm able to secure some in the first few rows I'll probably take the plunge. I'm really more interested in seeing Fiona than Coldplay...I wish she would just go on her own tour and play The Woodlands.
Yea, I remember seeing Coldplay 2 years ago at Verizon for like 26 bux. Fiona Apple has a badass new album. I'm really looking forward to hearing her.
I saw Coldplay at an ampitheatre-style venue earlier this year for about $60 ($120 if you count my wife's ticket), and it was worth every penny. I actually wasn't sure how good they would be live, but they vastly exceeded my expectations. I would wonder if it was worth it to pay all that money to see them in an arena, though.
Wrong. I got through Saturday morning with the password and scored Section B, row 2 tickets...but when I went to check out Toyota Centers error filled web page kept telling me I had too many tickets in my cart. I only had 2, so I refreshed, erased the cookies and tried again. Of course, there were no more available. I was big time. Those tickets are now being sold by scalpers for $900 a piece! Several people in the Coldplay forum scored very good seats on the floor on Saturday. I called the main number and was told they only had 1000 tickets available for presale and they sold out in 10 minutes. Ruined my weekend. I like Coldplay a lot, but I'm a Fiona Apple addict who's jonesing to see her live. I will get backstage...oh yes, I will.
BTW- A good way to find excellent tickets to concerts at Toyota enter is to visit their website and look for tickets the day of the concert, as many VIP's release their tickets when they can't make it. I told a buddy about that last week and he got lucky and scored 7th row for Paul McCartney's sold out show on Saturday.
The best I could get was Sec D, row 16...I ended up just letting them go. I don't really want to spend that much and still be that far from the stage.
Damn, you would have been right behind me. I got through right at 10 and only scored D, row 10, seats 1 and 2. Edit: I had section D, row 1 tickets for Depeche Mode and they were excellent seats. Very close to the stage for the second section.
