What is the coldest temp you have ever experienced (with or without wind chill)?

For me it was about -55 F in Winnipeg, Canada. Actual temp was around -35 F.

Had to wear long underwear, undershirt, dress shirt, sweater, fleece, a B-3 bomber, and an ushanka.

Minneapolis - sometime around 1980 -82. When we were landing, the pilot announced that the actual temp was -40 something and the wind chill was - 90 something.

What I remember was Galveston in 1990 around Christmas. I had gotten back from a ski trip and it was colder in Galveston than it was in Colorado. Lows were in the low teens if I remember correctly...and beach houses can get kinda drafty.

-70 with wind chill in Chicago in '93-'94. It was the coldest winter in 100 years, supposedly. I turned around after a block or so and went back to the dorm.

Whatever the coldest temperature in Augusta, GA was between 1971 and 1975, Houston since 1975, or Austin since 2004.

Growing up in Labrador, high school wouldn't be canceled unless is was -70 Celsius. I remember one day it was -68 and they kept it open.

Coldest I've experienced was -81 Celsius.

I've been in 15 below in the mountains while skiing. The funny thing was, in the thin air you could actually run out and get firewood in a t-shirt.

Born in Indiana, spent my first ten years there. I want to say it was 1977 or 78, crazy blizzard that I haven't come close to seeing since. So much snow that the drifts were over our house. I believe the temp was 20 below and a windchill of almost 50 below.

Crazy thing is, sometimes with the wet and wind of Houston, it feels colder to me here than up north.

I believe it was about 5 or 10 back in the mid 80's when I got here to the states.

I don't understand why regular ol' people like to say this "feels like" crap and this "wind chill" nonsense. The thermometer reads one thing and that's what you put down. It doesn't "FEEL LIKE" anything else. What's the actual temperature? That's IT.

Yeap, that would get me ROWDY, too, Ricky. Good one.

He resents anyone who believes that 40 degrees with 20mph winds feels colder than 40 degrees with no wind whatsoever.

Basically, he doesn't understand how wind chill works.
