In talking to various people over the years, I am always surprised when they tell me that they would rather live in cold weather compared to hot weather.

As for me, I can't stand it when the temperatures are under 50 degrees outside. Snow?? Forget about it...

Sure, the humidity can be unbearable, but I would rather take sweating over freezing any day.

I can't bear excessive heat. And I collect vintage winter coats.

Hot, as long as I live in a place with air-condition and have a car with air-condition. Believe me, cold, windy and dark sucks, that's what I have in Denmark right now. 3 p.m. and it's dark.

Anything below 60 degrees is uncivilized.

Man do I miss Texas summers! Especially on freezing cold days like today. Both of my hands and my right arm went numb after running in the cold and rain today. It literally took 2 hours to regain full feeling. I was on the verge of tears from the extreme pain I felt in my extremities. I couldn't even unlace my running shoes.

Where is June when you need it?

    Cold weather, by far.

I'd love it if it snowed every day like it did today in Dallas.

Personally, I love them both. When it's really hot (100+), there's something to being outside in that heat, playing basketball or working or something. But the really cold is also nice. It's fun to get all dressed up in snow pants and jacket and boots and go out into the snow. I imagine I'd get tired of it after a while, but that's why there's the hot summer :)

I think it's the humidity that sucks. I'd rather be in Palm Springs at 110 than Houston at 85. Similarly, I lived at 8000 feet in Colorado and it got down to -33, but it didn't feel as cold as a windy, wet Chicago at 25 (although, I admit, it would kill you much quicker).

Well, I just spent 2 weeks in 60-70 degree weather in Florida, so I vote for warm weather. Cold weather just sucks. Snow may be fun for skiing, but it's hell to live with. Besides, as bigtexxx noted, girls are more apt to wear less clothing in warm weather.

    Including those who shouldn't :(

But I'll take excessively hot over freezing cold any day.

I can't stand to freeze. In this age of climate control (and I would hate to have lived before the age of climate control), you can go from 100 degrees back into the A/C and be instantly cooled off. But, if it's cold out, it just takes a long time to get the feelings of cold out of your system. I don't know how people stand living up north...

I like it HOT HOT HOT.

I dislike the Frozen Tundra of Houston, Texas.

We celebrated my dads 273rd birthday party today. Man did it suck. It wasn't bad, but barbecuing sucked. We barbecued on the side of the garage.

    I have a June Birthday.

    HOT.

    HOT.

    Hot.

    And an A/C.

I used to be a hottie and probably still lean that way, but now I find each has its merits. Still, when it comes to cold I prefer high altitude and low humidity. I'd rather have a 15 degree day in NM at 7200 feet than Buffalo at close to sea level.

One of my favorite things to do is take my dog on a night walk when there's fresh snow on the ground and a full moon in the clear sky. Visibility is amazing in a moon glow sort of way and the utter quietness is remarkable.

It also helps that the local public school gym is open to the community for bball games, including one court for those over 35.

He's 60 something. Once you're over 59, you might as well be 273 in my book.

I like living in a hot, tropical environment in the summer, and a freezing cold, snowy environment in the winter. I get none of that in Washington.
