So I went to Fry's today for lunch (heh, yea im geeky) and noticed that Coca-Cola has released another Diet drink. Didnt know what the hell it was, and of course Im a sucker in getting new drinks. Its not too bad. Its really does taste more like Coke than Diet Coke. From what I read, they used the same formula as the regular cokes and just added a blend of aspartame and acesulfame potassium. Diet Cokes actually has its own formula, nothing close to the regular one.

IMO, there are just too many damn drinks. At least I heard that Pepsi dropped Pepsi Edge and Coke should be following soon with their C2 line.

Is this like Sprite Zero? Sprite Zero is one of the few diet carbonated drinks that actually tastes decent. I don't drink caffeinated stuff, so I won't be trying Coke Zero, unless the Zero means it doesn't have caffeine, either. :)

I hope all this new stuff, and the Diet Coke with Splenda, doesn't end up driving out the traditional Diet Coke formula. Some of us love our aspartame. It's been running through my veins constantly since I was 11 and I don't feel right without it. :)

Yea, id rank it up there. I like diet lemon lime drinks though, so I dunno if you would trust my judgement.

heh, yea. I bought a compact flash card last week for $40 - $10 rebate, but they have another one, same exact storage, its just SanDisk rather than Lexar for $35 - $15 rebate. Since Im broke :(, went to Fry's did the exchange and bought junk food for lunch with the $5 credit I got :p

Agreed. Diet Sprite Zero is the only Diet Soda that will actually drink.

I hope they don't phase out the Diet Coke with lime. I love that soda and I can't stand Diet Coke. I'm having hard time finding a store that even carries it.

I found a wholesale place few months ago that had it and I bought four cases. This was when Coke was having a contest where you look under the cap to see if you won anything. I think it was 1 and 12 where you win a free coke product. Well out of the four cases I bought there, the multiple six packs and all the singles, I never once won a free coke.

Oh, I haven't tried Coke Zero yet and I'm not sure if I will. Ever since The New Coke, I've been a little hesitant about new products. I never would have tried the Diet Coke with lime if it wasn't for a get together with family. It was the only thing he had to drink when I arrived.

I'll have to try this new Coke..

The only diet drink I liked before was Diet 7up.. but they changed the formula and they're using splenda now.. and it SUCKS!

I tried Diet Sierra Mist today, I like it a lot, gonna stick with it.

It's probably actually better. At Taco Cabana, I always put one of the lime wedges in my Diet Coke. I thought I was just weird. When they came out with the drink version, I thought "good, other people must want a lime in there too"... but I don't like the pre-prepared kind in the bottle or can. It has to be fresh limes.

    Eh, I don't like Coke.

I only drink it if there is nothing else.

It's all about the DP baby.

That's funny because I was at Sam's Club today I started to buy a big bag of limes and a case of 16oz Diet Cokes. I figured I would come back to it but I never did.

I'm sure you're right. When I first tried it it was in 16oz bottle and I thought it was great. Then I got it in a regular 20oz and I still thought it was good but not as great as the 16oz as I later found out. Then I tried it in a can and it was nasty.

I will diffidently be buying some fresh limes tomorrow.

Coke Zero is basically a reworked C2....... Coke is wanting to do a lot of promotions during the summer where free Coke Zero is given out.

I guess I'm never really someone that flocks to all of these fad drinks. Give me a Dr. Pepper and I'm happy.

I think C2 is pretty good. But what do I know, I loved Crystal Pepsi and they took it away.

I have a bottle of it somewhere around the house. You know, the 16oz GLASS bottle. I remember thinking it was so cool when it came out.

I never understood diet softdrinks.. to me they taste bad, if I was worried about the less sugar, less calories or less fat then I just wont drink a softdrink... why drink something with that weird taste to save a few of the above than not drink them at all?? It's like these low carb beers, because people hear they arent as "BAD" for you they drink twice as much to equal what they would normaly drink of the regular beers.. why not just drink less of the good stuff and not suffer sucking down the fake "less than" drinks?? I know some of you are crazy and like the taste of diet Coke or diet Dr. Pepper, and that's just sick :p
