Anyone willing to try this? Useless Junk Scroll down and look for the appropriate link. The site itself has some NSFW images so be careful. Found this link in the comments section: http://www.i-hacked.com/content/view/12/48/ I used to work at a place in the late 70's where you could put your arm in the machine where the bottles came out and pull them out that way.
man that is long, i'd rather just spend the dollar on coke. This might be more usefull to someone who drinks soft drinks though.
I have a 80's era Coke machine at my house, and if your arms are small enough you can still pop the cans out. I set the cost at a dime so it's really not worth the trouble though. It's the best beer cooler I ever bought.
When older brother went to college at Michigan State in the late 70s, he and his housemates had one of the old-fashioned soda machines where you pulled the bottle out of the rack on the left side of the machine. They filled it with beer and operated it with slugs/washers. I was in awe of that machine!
I know someone who has a coke machine that's rigged so that every time you press the "change back" button/lever, it opens up and lets you have a coke.
After reading the other link...not really at all. Unless you can keep working at it and get it to spit out quarters.
When I was in ninth grade someone told me that if you poured salt water slowly into the change slot of a coke machine that it will start giving you free sodas. So, of course, I had to try it. I didn't really care to steal a bunch of sodas, but I was curious if it would work. Well, It did work. We went to a soda machine that no one was around and we slowly poured salt water into the slot and sodas started coming out every 15 seconds. The weird part is that it didn't seem to completely ruin the machine. The machine never shorted out and it was still working after we were done. I'm not proud of doing that because it's stealing and probably worse considering the damage that it likely caused, but I still don't know what mechanism made salt water work.
I just tried the "hack" posted on the website above because I have nothing better to do and a machine is 100 feet from my apartment. Well, it works but it in fact is pointless. You get 4 options as was posted on the website and when you try reading sales data or error logs, its in a format that is impossible to understand unless you have some previous knowledge of what everything stands for. All in all, no free coke.
Report your findings and whoever else finds it can see if we match numbers. They must be access codes to something. I will report if I "see someone trying it"
their is a way to access of the C-Switches inside the machine. On some machines they have a pass option with the other 4 options. If you enter the pass correct it will show you all the other extra options. Now this is what you do. Find a machine that has that 5th option ( pass) and try guessing the password. If you guess it right then wohooo, YOU OWN THAT MACHINE!!!!!!
How expensive are Cokes nowadays anyways $5, $10 maybe even $20 each?? Last time I bought them they were like $1.00 for a bottle and 55 cents for a can.. I'm gonna let you guys in on a little secret, newspaper machines don’t know if you take one or the whole stack of newspaper.. Come on guys, I know you cant be that broke to have to steal Cokes..
