I have been waking up every morning for work at 5:30 and arrive at 7:00 am. I begin my day with 2.5 cups of coffee. I really need to find an alternative, fml, it's so good though. Anyone on the board addicted to coffee? Share your story please so I can talk myself out of it.
Coffee is good but it never wants to stay for a day.. Always in a rush and I'm in the Toilet Squattin down and sh!ttin all day....
I love coffee, but I've been drinking it since I was a little kid. My grandmother put coffee-milk in my sippy cup.
I started drinking it earlier this year. When you have to actually be at work on time every morning, and you work 30 minutes away, it sucks to be alive without coffee.
Clean up your diet and you won't need so much. I was about where you are, plus that much again in the afternoon a year ago. I stopped drinking soda, alcohol, and cut way way down on junk food. Your body will reward you with more energy. Now I drink a cup in the morning....maybe two if I slept like ass/stayed up way too late. No need for coffee in the afternoon.
Unless it makes you scatterbrained, gives you stomach problems, or is hurting your sleep patterns, I don't see anything wrong with your current coffee intake. As far as stimulants go, caffeine is pretty harmless if you tolerate it well. Doctors don't smoke and watch their diets, but they live off caffeine.
I worked at Starbucks back in the day, would drink a few caramel mochas, but since leaving I've never felt the need to keep drinking it. I guess I assume to be tired in the morning.
I use to be a pot a day kind of guy, but never after 3p. Swapped coffee for early morning swims at LA/Fitness. And I don't even miss it...took a couple of weeks of aspirins to get rid of the headaches though.
I'm trying to drink black coffee with agave now. It's hard to deal with a hot beverage in the morning during the summer, but once winter gets here, hells yeah.
donny, i'm thinking of investing in a cold brewer. i love me some iced coffee. could go for a dojo's right now.
oh yeah man coffee is so awesome and I totally love to drink it because it is so good and it seems to really inspire me to go out and do what needs to be done like, I don't know, maybe mow the lawn and the neighbor's lawn and also to run around the block and get some exercise and maybe keep running down to the store and buy some more coffee because I could really use one of those big like Big Gulp style coffees because coffee is so good and as soon as I drink it I am totally ready to face the world and to shave my face and to shave off a few seconds from my 100-yard dash and just now I'm thinking I could probably memorize the first 5 stanzas of "The Raven" by Edgar Allan Poe because that is a pretty interesting poem and goth girls like it and if I memorize it I might be able to jog over to Numbers and impress some goth girls after I've had a few coffees to get me going, rock n' rolling, and going bowling sounds totally fun right now because I haven't been bowling since I was a kid and I remember I really seemed to enjoy it but I didn't drink coffee then so I might enjoy it even more now!!!!!!!!! bbl
The elixir of life. I'm an avid morning coffee drinker. Every now and then I'll have a cup in the afternoon but don't usually need it. It's at the point where coffee doesn't really do much for me, though. I drink out of habit, mostly. Every so often I'll add a shot of espresso to really give me a jolt.
