COD MW3 will have a new "Elite" function. Looks interesting but it pisses me off. They're saying it's going to cost another 5 to 8 dollars per month to access it. BOHICA, CoD/Activision fans. This has been posted a couple of times in the other CoD threads though. But then again, it might be worth its own thread.
I appreciate the video. Kept seeing "Elite" pop up on various sites today. The pay-to-play is unfortunate, but its hard to imagine that many games are going to continue to be free past purchase in the future.
You don't actually have to pay-to-play (unless you meant something else). Probably will happen if this is a success, but Activision is smart to slowly go that direction. Of course, you know people will pay for it anyway, even if it is "optional." "Oh...you don't have Elite?"
Correct. You can still play online for free but Elite has the extra charge. But there will always be catches to almost force you to get Elite.
