Just when you thought it was over.... Just a heads up to you COD fans. If i can get the video, I'll post it. GameTrailers TV's promo promises a "global announcement" and "the first teaser trailer" for Call of Duty 7, so make sure you're up at 12:40 a.m. with your eyes glued to Spike TV to catch it.
This will be everything that MW2 was not...no more commando...no more silly kill streaks...knife will be a secondary weapon...shotguns will probably be primaries...in other words, it will be very similar to COD4. Plus, it will cover a larger time period, so you will see plenty more guns, locations, etc...Its not just Vietnam.
they signed a different company for cod8, infinity ward is not longer associated with the modern warfare series (I think)
Just a heads up for tonight... If you plan on watching the game the Magic vs Celtics.... New CODBlackOps trailer airs on ESPN 5/18 @ ~10:00pm EST
Definitely want to see the trailer. I don't think I'll get this right away.. I might wait until I read a few reviews on the game before shelling out the cash.
http://news.softpedia.com/news/Call-of-Duty-Black-Ops-Is-a-Creative-Risk-142314.shtml Call of Duty: Black Ops Is a Creative Risk Says Treyarch leader By Andrei Dumitrescu, Games Editor May 18th, 2010, 20:40 GMT Adjust text size: Call of Duty: Black Ops already has a set launch date, for November 9, 2010, and we know that developer Treyarch and publisher Activision are preparing the title for the Xbox 360, the PlayStation 3, the Nintendo Wii and the PC. But apart from a focus on special forces operations, there was more speculation than actual information linked to the actual content which Black Ops is set to offer. A preview in the Official Xbox Magazine came along to clear some things up and offer fans of the series a taste of things to come. The North Vietnamese Army has been confirmed as being the antagonist on some of the single player levels, with a secret and deep agenda being the reason for all the moves through the entire 50 years covered by the Cold War period. Vehicles are also confirmed as returning and after the revelation that the SR-71 Blackbird will not be directly controlled by the player, it seems that at least one attack helicopter will be fully usable by the player, with machine guns and rocket launchers ready to wreak havoc on the enemy ranks. When it comes to multiplayer, Treyarch is working hard on creating dedicated cooperative levels that run alongside those of the single player campaign, with the competitive multiplayer also worked on to allow the gamer even more ways to customize the capabilities of his avatar on the battlefield. Treyarch is saying that a multiplayer beta might be offered at some point, although specific dates were not discussed. Mark Lamia, who is the leader of developer Treyarch, told the magazine that “We’ve taken some creative risks… We want to do something different than we’ve done before. It’s time… We want the game to speak for itself.” With Infinity Ward probably not delivering more full fledged Call of Duty titles Treyarch really needs to step up and assume the mantle of main developer working on what is currently the biggest Activision franchise.

I think this game will be a lot better than MW2. On a side note, Treyarch responded directly to Blametruth's video on what he would like to see changed for the next game. From Treyarch's reponse, they are putting in a lot of time to fix a lot of the issues that MW2 and other Treyarch games had. This game will not be noob friendly... With MW2, they made the game soo easy for anyone just to pick a gun and kill. It also helped promote a lot of camping. If Treyarch is really trying to fix some of the main issues that everyone has, then I'm going to support them.

Yeah, I saw that Blametruth video...thats great to see because it shows the developers are listening to the players. There is no doubt that the multiplayer experience will be better than MW2. Im thinking the MP experience will be similar to COD4, if not better.
