So yesterday, I am chilling at my house and my aunt brings in about 20 bottles of Coca-Cola. I put them in the freezer for later when I start to BBQ. Well, I open one up later on and I can't tell you how good they are. Now, my question to the BBS members is "What is better - Coca-Cola bottles or Coca-Cola cans"?
Thats because they are definitely sweeter--my Mom LOVES em. I think they use real sugar instead of the corn-syrup filler
coke is much better in bottles. it's also better in europe. i've heard it has to do with the water but, i wonder if it's just that lil bit o america abroad that gives it the extra zing.
Mexico requires Coke to use a better sweetener. Mexican Coke has a different -- and better -- formula.
I voted the same. It doesn't matter to me as long as it's cold and unopened. The bottle may have more room for carbonation and that is why it may taste a little better. I guess it shouldn't be surprising as most people prefer drinking beer out of a bottle than a can. I heard you can buy Mexican Coke at Central Market. True or false?
My experience is that any beverage tastes better when they come out of glass bottles. Aluminum and Plastic must either not seal as well as Glass or the fluid inside acquires some elements from the Plastic and/or Aluminum. My youngest daughter was surprised how much better Dr. Pepper tastes coming from a glass bottle. The older guys on this board probably remember growing up with glass bottles. I remember the bottling companies starting the switch with the 2 liter bottles and then they eventually switched over the smaller bottles. I went around hoarding all the glass bottles of Pepsi I could find when they announced the complete switch to plastic. They offer pop in glass now, but only in 8 oz bottles. At least that is all I can find.
For some reason, I like cans. They seem to be able to get colder than the bottles. Or maybe I just grew up drinking several a day... hope they're not leaching aluminum or anything...
I really miss the days when all drinks came in a bottle. Fill up your tank with gas, pick up a case of Cokes, and you were good for a week or so. Bottles were also a good way for kids to get money. There was an old country store about a mile up the road from my house when I was a kid(corner of modern day FM1960 and I45). We would walk the ditches and gather up enough bottles to buy candy and Cokes. I prefer bottles. I do buy IBC rootbeer in the bottle at wal-mart.
