Hi! My name is Latrell Sprewell! I make $14.6 million a year right now. Not only am I overpaid right now, but I feel strongly that I need to be overpaid in the future as well! So please give me a hefty extension, even though it's extremely unlikely that I will be worth whatever it is you would be paying me 3-4 years from now.

    P.S.
No, I don't care about what this does to our team chemistry even though we have a shot at the title.

    P.P.S.
No, I don't think it's slightly ridiculous that KG only makes $5 million a year more than me or that I get paid three times what ol' Sammy makes, even though he's twice the player I am. Haven't I made myself clear? Give me my money, damn it! It's clear that the fans come to the game to see me, can't you see that!

So Minnesota management hasn't show any interest in keeping Sam Cassell yet?

Anyone think that the T-Wolves might disappoint a little bit this year? Obviously, they will win their division, but the players they have around Garnett are aging and could break down this year. If Cassell goes down for a big part of the season, who knows? I don't think they are a threat to make the finals.

Not the best thing to have to bring good chemistry to the team for the new year. The contract demands of these OLD players like Cassell and Sprewell are ridiculous. I think Sam has more leeway but if Sprewell thinks at 34 he should be getting 14M per season he is ridiculous! Someone should tell Sprewell they just signed Hassell to a 6 year deal. Spre, that's your replacement.

Definitely. I really don't know how much Sam and Spree have left in the tank. They played at a high level last year, but their aging bodies are going to catch up with them sooner or later. In fact, with Sam losing time to injury last year, maybe it already has.
