Dude, I am stoked! Not so much about what was written in this article, but more about the potential success the Rockets could have this year.

    #4 Houston Rockets
Not even the loss of early MVP candidate Yao Ming to a broken leg has slowed Jeff Van Gundy's troops. Thanks to Tracy McGrady and a stingy defense that ranks No. 1 in field goal percentage allowed, they have stayed near the top of the West. With Yao expected to return after the break, Houston could be a sleeper if it can stay healthy.
All-Stars: Yao (injured, will not play), McGrady.

noticed this blurb too on the player rankings..

    #7 Tracy McGrady

Praise be to Steve Nash, but just how did McGrady miss out on winning the
Western Conference's Player of the Month award for January? Nash averaged
    18 points and 13 assists, while T-Mac offered 29.9 points, 7.1 assists, 5.7
rebounds and 1.3 steals as the Rockets circled the wagons without Yao Ming
and won 10 of 14. Seems to me that Nash was rewarded, once again, for
the luxury of having Amaré Stoudemire and Shawn Marion on his roster.

T-mac, despite playing out of his mind for the better part of this season without Yao, has continued to not receive the amount of praise he deserves. The sports media is too hung up on his performance last season and his problematic back, but can't deny how well he's played over the past month... so he gets mentiond as one of the top 10 players again but misses out on player of the month even though he deserves it.

I don't know if anyone has played as well as T-mac over the past 1 1/2 months, the guy has been out of his mind good and looks like a refined Orlando T-Mac with more of an outside game. I don't expect Tracy to win the MVP this year (that's almost already been handed to Nash again) but if he keeps this up I will be disappointed if he isn't top 3 behind Nash and Dirk. T-mac is really coming up big when we need him to, and he deserves the recognition that comes with that. If T-Mac continues to play at or near this level he deserves to be once again ranked with the likes of Kobe, James, Dirk, and Nash.

    In short, T-MAC FOR MVP!
