    Rest in Peace Rosa.

She was a much needed match to get the fire of civil rights going.
Revolutions sometimes come from such simple things.

    "Who is Rosa Parks?"

"ummm, didnt Outkast have a song about her?"

I hope as time goes by that we don't forget what she meant for African American people, and people in general.

I remember reading that she didn't want to get up and move because her feet was hurting?

    Anybody confirm?

Like Sishir Chang said, it's a simple little thing that helped along in the Civil Rights movement.

She has denied this in interviews, so I'm assuming it's a myth. She also wasn't at the front of the bus - another myth.

    RIP, Mrs. Parks.

Yeah, she was actually in the BLACK section of the bus...I guess they were going to strap her to the top of the bus or something...

RIP, Rosa...Kinda makes the ass kicking I got after school for not giving up my bus seat seem a little shallow...

    well the practice was
to give up your seat for a white person
so the black section of the bus was a 'movable' line

    RIP
    she was brave
