This is making me sick. I have Israel, the US and the EU engaging in serious sabre-rattling while I can only sit back. I have family in Iran: lots of family. I have plans to visit Tehran, Isfahan and probably Bam. I honestly do not know how I will react if America sends in a large force.
looks like name-calling is a tactic utilized by all sides i think you would be pissed off, as would any rational human being, if any military action is taken against iran my questions still remain why is iran viewed as a a threat and what have they done that's wrong or illegal? and dont give me the 'he threatened israel' answer....israel, iran, and the us have been making threats against each other for a very long time, thus, that doesn't justify anything ahmadinejad doesnt even have that much power in the iranian system and iran has never attacked a nation in its modern history, and its program is under international inspection, which is a lot more than i can say for other countries the west has no case against iran and is manufacturing this "threat"
I will be pissed. Im just clinging on to the hope that it doesnt happen. I have lots of family there as well, I dont want to be going to sleep every night wondering if they are okay. Thats horrible.
Your family is probably very safe, as is rezdawg's. I will be very very surprised if any attack on Iran (by anyone) is anything other than a very targeted attack on nuclear facilities.
You do know that if irans nuclear facilities are hit, the resdue of the chemicals in those plants will have a very, very, very, long lasting effect on the locals. Anyhow, my Uncle is an air for force tactical Pilot. for security reasons i want say where he is stationed, but i fear he'll have to get involved. my whole family are war veterans. my dad flew in the iran iraq war. he flew F-4 phantoms. as did my uncle.
Exactly, Everything Iran has done so far is legal and within their rights. Unless there is more that we don't know about, then there is absolutely no case for attacking Iran.
Imagine if Bush said outright his, goal and America's goal is to wipe Iran off the face of the earth... For some reason, it resonates if the words came out of America's leader's mouth, yet Iran gets a free pass to some on this or diminished excuse? Pathetic! The leadership in Iran deserves to have their where the sun don't shine parts wiped off the earth for saying so to bring the rhetoric to the ultimate level...!
