[CNN] Ghost Sets off Security Camera

Interesting. I'm inherently skeptic with ghost claims...but it's hard to wrap my head around that video.

where is the sensor for the camera?
wouldn't a bug close to the camera come out blurry and out of focus?

 

According to the story I watched, insects and bugs aren't enough to set off the motion detectors to start the cameras, and headlights aimed through the front windows wouldn't either. I think its interesting how the "cloud" seems to float around some of the equipment.

 

could that be a flash light? on the second clip when it's behind the bar, the front of the bars light up as well.

 

That would be cool if it was a ghost...but doesn't it seem like being a ghost stuck on earth would be really boring? All you can really do is float around.

 

I work in the security camera field (own my own company) so I know about the equpiment being used.

Insects/bugs will not set off the motion detection (The DVR system controls the sensitivity of the motion), it is too small for the camera to see. If the bug were to go over the lense of the camera then it will set it off.

Lighting can trigger the system to record on motion. The way it works is that the system is pixel based so whatever changes the color of the pixels on the screen it then will activate the DVR to record. So whether it was lighting or a ghost the system will record if there is any change in pixel shading.

Quick question. How much for a dvr or recording system like that? I have camera's hooked up, but its just hooked up to a computer in the back. Really worthless since all I can really do is look at it when I'm in the back. I need something that I can record or monitor from home.

u guys are being tricked. its obviously a foreign spy or a black ops operative working to steal sensitive info. Don't ask me how he did it, but damn thats pretty sweet if he can cloak like that.
