There was a thread for the Comedy Central Roast that was the Republican debate, but I didn't see one for the Democrat debate that will ensue tonight. Although there won't be a slurry of clowns to jab jokes at, it should be refreshing to not have to worry about 11 candidates screaming over each other. Thoughts/Predictions for tonight?
Bernie will come out on top while Hillary bores everyone. The most certain thing is that CNN will host a terrible debate yet again. Hopefully they'll actually listen to the responses and ask further questions and call out the misinformation. I know, I know...those are pretty tough things to ask for in a debate, but I remain optimistic (not really).
- Clinton will do the best impression of a human that she can muster and the people she is paying to post things online will talk about how amazing she did in the debate. - Sanders will do very well by simply stating his consistent opinions on issue Americans care about, and the increased exposure will cause him to gain further on Clinton. - People will gradually become confused as to why all the other people at the debate are even there, and wish we had to listen to them talk less since it is really a two horse race (3 if Biden enters the race).
I'll consider shutting it off if questions about this e-mail nonsense get out of hand. One or two questions about it, fine. But this isn't something I want to hear discussed for 20 minutes.
After the first two republican debates most likely people will get confused because the candidates will actually talk policy and ideas and behave like adults. Probably be pretty boring for most people.
I think they should ask the same questions asked to the GOP debaters... then project the GOP responses to better differentiate the democrat candidates from the zoo on the right...
I only want one thing: If a candidate proposes to close tax loopholes to increase revenue, the moderator needs to follow up with "which ones". I'm so tired of hearing that same line with no one every providing specifics on which loopholes they would close.
now that's what i'd like to see! i think this guy is a bit optimistic but i like his spirit. he goes on to list plenty of recent polls reflecting poorly for hilary http://thehill.com/blogs/pundits-bl...256745-look-for-sanders-to-surge-after-debate
Are they bringing back the stupid rule about if someone's name is mentioned, they get to talk? Are they bringing back the even worse idea of asking the candidates about what the others said in their attack ads?
Bernie Sanders is a waste of everyone's time. He and Al Gore need to go chain themselves to a tree naked and hum Buffalo Speedway lyrics.
First: If you watch this instead of the Mets/Dodgers NLDS Game 4....you deserve to be bored (and ridiculed). Second: Donald Trump will be tweeting during the debate. That should be fun.
More fun than 11 adults having a pissing contest and acting like children while offering no explanation on what they're actually going to do for the country?
Bernie is nuts.. Hillary while her policies are pretty moderate is probably the most unlikable candidate we have had in quite some time. She just has no integrity and embodies the fake politician/human being stereotype. She's just so phony and such a horrible liar. UGF
Biden needs to join the race to make the dem debate more entertaining.. otherwise it's going to be a snoozefest..
