    RIP Johnny aka John Cummings.

    The Ramones started it all.

If anyone has a chance to read "Please Kill Me", read it. Basically the history of punk rock in a real detailed entertaining format.

Johnny invented that buzz guitar sound. Sorry to see you go.

Absolutely the greatest band I have ever seen live.

    RIP

I'm going to take a shot at the legacy:

Rock and roll is simple, raw energy.
Simple is good. Raw and pure has it's own energy; something better than and more than any sophistication can reference or adulterate.

We don't need no stinkin' minor 7ths. Back to the root.

    Death to the Beatles.

I don't agree with his politics and the other Ramones despised his slave-driving, but he was a huge part of their legacy. I doubt any of the music I listen to today would exist if not for that band.

    RIP Johnny, Rest in peace

I remember ditching school and then going in the park, grilling some sausages, drink beer and listen to the Ramones on my blaster.

    Getting sentimental...........
