    "He's a Kobe fan and Laker fan, so it all works," the mayor said with a smile.

    Along with Vice President Joe Biden, Xi will also meet Friday with U.S. governors and Chinese provincial officials in an event organized by Brown.

    His engagements on the West Coast come after talks with Obama on Tuesday in which the U.S. president set a firm tone for future relations between the two world powers.

    Of course he's a Kobe/Lakers fan.

    Go outside the U.S. and the majority of "NBA" fans are Lakers fans, or Heat fans (ask anyone in Brazil and it's the Heat, team of a city where many Brazilians live and travel, easiest to reach from their country).

    Ask a lot of women their favorite NBA team and it's the Lakers. In 2004 I mentioned to just such a woman, "Hey, you like KG?" "Who?" You like Dwade?" "Who? I just like Kobe." Ugh.

    Just like in MJ's days: Everyone outside the U.S. was a Bulls fan. Probably could barely name any other team.

    Thats communists in China despised by North Koreans. What kind of person loves fancy pants game of Kobes. Bunch of bourgeoisies. The supreme leader of north korea otoh loves Dennis Rodman's game, according to times magazine.
