New season starting soon in CM, and this will be much better than the first one. Check out the improved CM site, and you will begin to see what I mean. And more is coming too.

The staff have been added so you can easier decide the coaching setup. The coaching setup have been added too, so you can see it. Coaches defaults to take responsibility in all 5 areas of training, but the manual specifies that they will be more efficient if their responsibilities is limited to Max 3 areas. Use your staff screens to decide where you want them. Your staff suck? You can find new ones, and fire the ones you got. Just hook up with me in the chat.

Also - when you need updates to specific areas of the site, just post your request in this thread. Also post all actions you want in this thread too, teams, scout assignments, training, etc ...

A scout search takes a couple of game weeks, and I will not reactivate your search, so you need to put in your searches here.

I have fixed my own coaches to have only 3 areas of responsibility, and others have done the same in the chat. I have aslo changed my training to be only skill, and will leave it there for a few weeks, and then change it to fitness for about 3 weeks in the preseason before I go back to my ordinary (individual) training schedule.

    23.7.02 (first league game 10.8.02)

Before moving up I also made/refreshed shortlists for all clubs (without one that had an empty list - macclesfield)

Shortlists also show the current transfer fund in the upper right corner.

The screen will only show the first page (11 players) of your list - if you have players that you do not want on your list just tell me to remove the players from your shortlist to make room for the others. You can also hook up with me in the chat to get info on more players, or sign the ones listed now. Of course you can also make bids in this thread if you find it hard to get to me in the chat.

3 power surges interupted the start of the 2nd season - we'll give it a go tomorrow or later.

    10.8.02

The power surges led to womething good - now all teams have their non competetive stats uploaded to the site (friendlies + reserve teams first game) to help with the selection of the lineup for the opener. Just do remember that it is a very small sample of games, and that some players do not play their best in meaningless games. Also as the reserve team have the stats for their first game in, some players can have high average from doing an ok first reserve game.

I'm ready to start the season now - if enough people showed in the chat we could do it tonight. If not we will do it tomorrow.

Here is my team for the opener:

    GK Ward*

    DR Wenlock*
    DL Tankard
    DC Reddington
    DC Hassell

    MR Lawrence
    ML Allen*
    MC Cleeland*
    MC Disley

    FC Bradley
    FC Arkins*

    SB1 Roberts (GK)*
    SB2 Asher (D RC)
    SB3 McGarrigle (D/M L)*
    SB4 Hamill (F C)*
    SB5 Porter (S C)

No room for my playmaker of last season, Michael Sisson. Same goes for Lee Williamson, Richardo Beckford and new midfielder Jeremy Illingworth*. Damn I have a deep midfield.

*) New to the team this season

    Captain: Cleeland*

    Formation: 4-4-2 Attacking
    Mentality: Normal (Normal, Defensive, Attacking)
Passing: Direct (Mixed, Short, Direct, Long)
    Tackling: Hard (Normal, Easy, Hard)
    Pressing: Yes (No, Yes)
    Offside Trap: Yes (No, Yes)
    Counter Attack: No (No, Yes)
Men Behind Ball: No (No, Yes)

    Free kick left: Auto
    Free kick right: Lawrence
    Corner left: Auto
    Corner right: Auto
Playmaker: (Sisson, whenever he returns to the lineup)

Will probably change the free kicks and stuff later.

BGM - you sold Martin, and you know your team is never at full strength. "Be injured early and often" was your team motto wasn't it?

So with the next game 17.8.02 at home to Shrewsbury and current date 14.8.02 your current injury report is this:

Priest: Out for about two weeks with a thigh strain. (Could possibly come back to semi injured state before the game if you still would like to use him)

Adams: Out for about 10 days with a groin strain. Back in light training (semi injured) and at 90%.

Munroe: Out for a few days with a gashed leg. Back in light training at 27% (lacking match practice).

Also out is Bamber (about two weeks), but he is in the reserves.

Munroe could possibly be back to full training/condition before the match, and if you want you could also use Adams. Priest needs to come back to light training before being available.

You also signed the prospect you had the bid on (in your shortlist), and your scout found another excellent prospect. (Have not made a bid for him)

Bigger problems maybe for Castor - both your loaned attackers left as their loan was up, and also Galloway left in search for a contract.

DV - Macken injured during training (strained neck) and is listed as out for about a week, might be back to light training before the match. Casey back to full training. Howard suspended for one more match.

I have Liam Lawrence out for about two weeks with a broken toe. Rory Hamill will take his place in the starting lineup, while Lee Williamson, Jeremy Illingworth or Michael Sisson will take the role as sub. Also Oxford be damned as they try to take advantage of Tankard having his release clause activated, but I expect Tankard to sign a new deal with me.

boville - Betts back to full training, although tired (33%) at the moment. Will probably be ready for the match. Conlon (reserve player) were absent from training, and I fined him (1 week wages) for unprofessional behaviour. He felt the fine was unfair.

Pued - Thorpe keeps asking for a new contract to be paid what he deserves, only to not be cooperative by telling you that he dont believe you can meet his demands for wages. As his other demands include a release fee I have not offered him a contract for you. Brown suspended for two more matches, but Logan is back from his suspension.

SF3 - Jones out for about a month with a pulled hamstring, Jørgensen out for about two weeks with a dislocated jaw and Ellington out for about 3 weeks with a groin strain.

Textfiles for week 4 up (teams & div 2/3).

Also forgot to mention that last update had new screens for squad, reserves and contracts for all.

Round 5 might be done in chat after the Rockets game.

A new facelift to the site - I think it will be even better to navigate now.

And as my connection is better than it ever was we are back to simming - a round starting in the chat now!
