CM?? After properly taking some time away from CM(I really needed it after the Carlisle debacle), I think I have finally gotten some recharge to my batteries. Now I am wondering what the plans are regarding the Friday release of the CM demo. I don't really want to dive headlong into working with Blackburn if we are moving to CM4 and planning a restart.Also I plan on attempting to dl the demo when it is released(about 3a.m. cst) If I get it in a civil type manner I will put it on the server for the CM01-02 savegames and post a link so you guys don't have to fight the crowds at the SI servers. From what I understand it is only going to be a 'beta' demo as the game has not gone gold yet, and I would guess the game to be released in the 2nd half of March, and with only one half season of a not finished product (and me not yet ordering my new computer) we will start another season with what we have now. To run CM4 I need a brand new computer (and I really need one) and I'm waiting as long as I can to get the best possible system at the best possible price (with the prices dropping every other week). But as long as the game comes out in March this should be the very last season, so no reason to save your 100M
ok can I get a savegame update then? I will be planning on blowing lots of cash in the next few days . Also what date are we currently on? So I will know what kind of time frame I'll be on. I should be in chat tonite so hopefully If we can meet up I'll be able to get a couple offers in. Date: June 1st After sitting around at this date for a while now, I have gotten the seasonal update going and will start to move up. Hopefully the offseason wont take too long, so we can start the season ASAP. For those in need of strengthening their squad (as in all) the upcoming days will be your best shot to get ready for the next season. If all goes well then we will get in at least 3 weeks today so the next season is initialized with TV Money and Season Tickets increasing teams buying power. And there should be no need to save money for next season, because if finished product of CM4 is good we will start over after this season there. (The demo is not good enough, but it is only a beta, and I didnt really expect it to be either)

Date: June 29th Moved up just about another week today (or yesterday before I went asleep). Teams have started to make bids to strengthen their teams, but there is still plenty of time to get in reinforcements before the season starts. I did not get your e-mail Castor as I don't use that ISP anymore. I E-mailed you using your BBS e-mail with another e-mail account you can use. BTW - Blackburn is in the Inter Toto cup (enter in the 3rd round) and will get action very soon. The 2nd round has not started yet, so who you play I do not know (and I'm not exactly sure when you get the games, but they should come around when Zac have used to get them when he been in the Inter Toto cup the last 2 seasons)
Date: July 9th The first game of the season will be when Blackburn travel to Portugal to play Vit. Guimares in the 3rd round of the Inter Toto Cup the 14th. Did you resend the mail Castor? I still have no word on who you want to get.

Your targets Castor.... 1) Stopped bidding at 15M - still rejected 2) Signed 3) Initial offer accepted, player signed (upped min rel fee for you) 4) Signed with a compensation fee of 950k (did an alternate route as he was not protected - so saved you some money 5) Signed by Zac like hours after I put up the savegame - sorry extra target - had to offer 11.5M to get the club to agree - but after 3 tries the player still denies playing for you (was not interested in the first place - tried offeroing 40000-47500 with increasing sign ons and increasing bonuses - no luck so 3/6 so far for you.
The first round in the premiership has been played several times in chat tonight (damn crashes) and the boxes, results and standings have been updated as I finally got it saved. The first round resulted in the letting go of John Benjamin Toshack in case anyone would be inclined to want to apply for the open spot he left behind.

Did I get fired? My team is not yellow anymore and I haven't gotten any updates since the Mansfield game. I haven't been in chat because I have had a really really busy schedule and my wife had a wreck so we only have 1 car right now and I have to leave for work really early and I don't get picked up until really late. Yeah, you had a real good game vs Mansfield ending in a 2-2 draw at Field Mill and it was not good enough for them (they had been losing patience with you and wanted a result out of the game). The game crashed and in the next game you did not have a good game as I won that 2-0? And they actually waited a day longer to fire you then I'm pretty sure I updated the firing news to you in news, but if not the season is over anyway, so CM4 is next on the agenda for you.
well i really did not want to start a completely new thread so I'll just add this here and change the Thread title. I go the game a couple of days ago. One thing I noticed is that ther eare a coupl eof bugs. Most notably I am having trouble scheduling friendlies. Every time I choose a team to play it always defaults back to Notts Co. It won't let me choose anyone else except D3 teams (I'm playing Carlisle btw in case you didn't figure that out.) I signed Ivan Hurtado(Ecuadorian DC) and a couple of scouts. I am targeting Marc Vaughan as a scout. I also did an inquiry for a player from Oldham. When it came back it said I went to offer for a transfer and sure enough it says Oldham want $0 for Clegg. I offered em $1000. The guy has mediocre ratings but is IMO worth a little more than $0. I'll update if I get him... CK Edit: Oldham accepted but Clegg did not like the prospects of playing in a lower division. He'll be stuck in D2 then because he isn't good enough to play higher.
Have you updated with EP1? I have not tried scheduling any friendlies so I can't say anything about it, but I'm not sure Oldham wanting nothing for a plaayer is a bug. Maybe they are in massive doo-doo and just want to get rid of his wage? If a player then is of low worth, then maybe they think asking for nothing for him and give up his wage is better than ask for his worth (if it is low) and risk not getting rid of him, and then lose his worth several times as his wages covers his worth in just a couple of weeks. This just as an example as I have no idea about either the wage or worth of Michael Clegg. In other news EP2 should soon be released, and we won't start the CM4 league until it arrives.
Well I had installed EP1 but my game crashed while doing other stuff. When I restarted the friendly stuff worked fine. Must have just been a glitch. You could be right about the Oldham stuff. The problem was he didn't want to leave. He was valued at 30k I think and made about 2000 p/w. When I restarted they wanted 4k for him. And that b*stard Marc Vaughan will not sign to scout for me CK
What is the deal with all the bugs in scouting. I have had 3 players to be scouted for 2 months of the season and they still haven't been seen. And yes they have played in games since then and no not all my scouts are assigned. Then I had to release and re-sign one scout because he was stuck in a loop. He had 2 Nott. Forest players that he found and he had never been assigned. Then I recalled him( I guess he was recalled from a drunken binge at Nott. Forest since I never assigned him anywhwere) after I confirmed the recall and hit continue he did nothing and everytime I looked back the 2 Forest players were still in his list. So I released him and now I'll have to see if they will ever scout the 3 guys I wanted to see.
All I can say is the game is playable out of the box. I haven't played it enough to know much about scouting etc
