Kawhi fits this team better than Kevin Love.

By "this team" do you mean someone other than the Rockets?

IMHO I think Morey's been playing the high stakes game long enough. He's happy to sit pat with what he has. Don't get me wrong, if a star becomes available he'll go for it. But you have to believe he understands he has a good thing right now with a high character, high IQ guy who the team and coaches love and really does play that glue guy role well. After a point you can't always assume cap will bring the coveted players in. Morey finally has something really valuable to lose with this core which I believe Parsons is a huge part of.

Dallas and San Antonio proved you can contend against the Heat with one or two stars and solid role players if coached well. Letting Parsons walk is just too risky.

If Morey can get someone like Kevin Love without gutting the team, he'd be crazy not to do it. Short of that though, why mess up a good thing? They have two legit superstars in Harden and Howard, with the former arguably not even in his prime yet. Parsons is a borderline All-Star caliber 3. T-Jones has played the equivalent of one year of pro ball so far and has been a decent starter at the 4. And if Bev can continue to knock down those open 3's and make the floaters in the lane, he gives the Rockets exactly what they need from the point guard spot. Why not use all that cap space in 2015 to load the bench with quality backups?
