*Court changed to the one near the Post Oak YMCA* This is a continuation of the post that Dave2000 made a few weeks ago. I haven't collaborated with anyone else on this, so I'm hoping it's ok that I sort of take the reigns on this thing. Suggestions are always welcome. First of all, EVERYONE (including you...yes YOU) is invited. It's all for fun and there's always varying skill levels so don't feel like you wouldn't fit in. What: Half court pick-up basketball. When: Saturdays 1pm until we stop (Sundays when needed/possible) Who: EVERYONE! Why: Because we're cool. Where: (see below) (We will use the default location as much as possible but ALWAYS check toward the end of the thread to make sure the location/time hasn't changed for the week.) Bring your balls and your game
I wanna join in, but you guys will have to take it easy on me, my ankles are fragile. One more bad landing and my ankle will have to have screws put in.
i play like a ginobilli/dirk/chuch hayes...i dont think i can take it easy seriously though, i have pretty bad ankles too, it sucks how i have never broken either of them, but i have torn so many ligimants on both, i think it would have been better to break them. btw...i need to grow my hair a little more, because i cant play as good without hair.
Oops, forgot to add the time (edited it in). I set 1pm as a general start time and we'll just play until we feel like stopping, but obviously people can show up whenever.
I play at that court Saturday mornings about 10am. We run full court games until about 1pm. Its a really good court.
Not that crowded. Usually a 1 game wait. We all know each other since we have been playing there so long. On a bad day you may have 2 teams waiting but thats rare.
i've seen that place and have always wondered about it. i could make it there in 15 minutes from downtown.
damn i wish i could be there to ball up Mig again but alas... i'll play again with y'all in the future i know i will
Yeah, part of the reason I liked that one is cause it was empty, covered, and it was fun to watch moes, Yaozer, Kam and Fuzzybear dunking on the lowered rims.
