Why hasn't this been done? I'm sure that contributions to the tip jar will go down, but I'm certain that the net profit will go up making it easier for clutch to handle the costs of this website. Who knows, maybe even give him the chance to get rid of the ads which I'm sure he'd love to do). Maybe this has been discussed before? I'm also sure that Clutch doesn't have the time to handle the merchandising, but I'm certain there are people on here who are willing to do it with some kind of agreement. Honestly I can't imagine that this hasn't been discussed on some level before. I'm just wondering why I've never heard about it. I would love a Clutchfans cap. If I were in Houston, I'd love to get a clutchfans badge to wear to games as well. Thoughts?
Firstly, I don't think anyone really has the budget or the time to do this... unless of course they work for a manufacturer for merchandise such as T-shirts, cups, bottles, etc. Secondly, and this is my opinion of it, I personally don't think anyone would buy the merchandise... especially in this recession.
Who would have rights to Cluthfans.net? I could see maybe Clutch City, or most definitely anything we put on there with a Rockets logo, but outside of that it shouldn't matter. We all could have our own Clutchfans jerseys. Then of course we would all probably look like losers with jerseys for a message board.
The female population is really small around here, so it might not be worth it to create stuff for us; but mens shirts don't fit me well, so it's kind of a tough sell for me...
Well think of it this way. Would you rather donate $2 to the tipjar or buy a little kitchen magnet for $3 or $4? I hear ya on the shirts though. I don't think doing lots of complicated merchandising is the way to go. I was thinking more simple stuff like cpas, keychains, magnets, badges, pens maybe, etc..
while its nice i think its better to donate like 15 to the tipjar instead of 15 on a shirt where like only 10 dollars of profit will go to the tipjar
Own a company that does this kind of stuff actually... I could go for some Clutchfans bumper stickers personally.
You seriously don't think the NBA would come down on Clutch if he started selling merchandise? They bugged him for even starting the site before.
