Honestly, I don't really understand why everyone thinks our offense looked so good. AB just couldn't miss. We had over 20 turnovers! That's awful lol.

those guys are definitely more established but lin's numbers present a strong case for the allstar team assuming he keeps them up

did you not see the crossover straight into turnover at about 0:32 in the 1st? the dude should not be trying to break ankles.

all the homeless-style beards on The Wolves gave Jones extra motivation to stomp them

When we weren't turning over the ball, the ball movement was pretty good tonight. It was moving and finding the open man for a great shot. Most of those turnovers are very much avoidable and once we can shore up we will be okay. This is going to be a high turnover team anyway, just by the system we play but yes, 20+ turnovers are way too much. I would overjoyed if we can get our turnovers to around 16 like last year.

Well, we usually have pretty good ball movement. I think our defense was better tonight, which attributed more to the win IMO.

Rockets are not going to win any championship with the current Harden, healthy or not.

That's is crazy. Casspi is way better than Delfino at almost everything but shooting the 3. Delfino was a vet who couldn't even dribble right. He was easily the most frustrating Rocket to watch last season when it came to dribbling, passing, and turnovers. At least Casspi has a decent handle, and the excuse of youth and inexperience. He will get better.

Casspi needs to cut towards the basket off the ball and let Dwight or the guards make the pass to him or he needs to be use as a catch and shoot player. He also has the ability to make that one hand hook like shot in the lane off the one step dribble. However when he decides to become Allen Iverson and beat people off the dribble with a crossover he become a liability.

For a role player he is a great pickup but he needs to know his limits..

So are you saying that we won't win championship with Howard on our board? We need healthy Harden and Howard to win championship. That's why Howard came here.

Rockets are a much better team with James. Anyone saying otherwise just has no understanding of basketball.

I think he's saying we still need another player to be legitimate championship contenders.

IE, Morey still needs to work his magic to find another piece, or we need to get lucky and have one or more home grown players (Tjones, Parson, Lin, etc) make that next step up in development.

Harden + Howard + what we got still isn't enough to get us to the promised land.

I think we are lacking a backup bigtime wing scorer who can come in and backup Harden and Parsons for 30 minutes a night and cover that spot when those two are missing. Harrison Barnes does that for GS. We need a bigger backup for Jones as well. Maybe Smith once he returns.

The current Howard and Harden are not enough to win championship. In order to have any chance they need to transform into SS2 or even SS3.

Seriously though, unless McHale learns to manage Harden minutes to around 35 min/game or less AND Harden puts in the effort on defense, Rockets are not going to win anything. Hence that's why I said the current Harden(40 min/game and no effort on defense) is not good enough to win championship.

Let's see where Lin's efficiency is by December. Hopefully Dallas game was his low point. Still not sure where that "mean" performance is. 50/40/80 would definitely be all star level at his current minutes.

He's currently 3rd among all Guards at TS% and 1st for all PGs while playing at a far higher pace and usg% than the rest of the top 10.

What's great though is Lin is 13th among all guards in the league at drawing fouls (Harden's 1st). This means even if his eFG falls, he can probably sustain a decent TS% if he keeps driving. Although that bump on his head looked nasty.

I doubt if he plays any meaningful minutes that he will be any worse than that 1 point Dallas game.
