    Keys to winning:

    * Get the ball out of Nash's hand
    * Get physical with Nash
    * GUARD THE THREE POINT LINE!!!
    * REBOUNDS REBOUNDS REBOUNDS
    * Slow the game down as much as possible!

    hence my number five.

    there is no way we can should even try to play their style. and to do that we have to make shots which prevent rebounds and fast breaks. and we have to rebound their misses.

    To win this game. Tmac has to limit his scoring in the 1st half (read: get others involved) and save for the 4th quater.

    Slow down the game. Do NOT have a 3-pt shootout!

    Solution:

    Start Vspan, who cannot shoot the three, thus fewer rockets will be less inclined to throw up threes alongside the suns.

    Vspan can lock down nash and switch over on Bell

    I just cant see us matching their intensity. Looks like a loss coming. I cant wait for Denver at home.

    If all the role players have good games we have a good chance of winning - if they played like tonight we will looose badly

    Heh Rafer Alston is going to try to outshoot the entire Suns team by himself, watch.

    If the bench players don't have career nights in some aspects, we lose for sure.

    How many teams beat the Suns on the second night of a back to back after traveling WHEN YOU JUST FINISHED playing your heart out but losing to the best team in the league?

    *Slow the game down as much as possible
    *Don't play Dikembe very much (no offense but he'll get murdered)
    *Bench production must be there

    But the number 1 strategy is:

    PRAY!!!! or Wish. Whatever.

    This won't be pretty. The Suns surely watched Mutombo get burned by George tonight and will use that in their game plan. If Amare doesn't get off to a good start, I imagine we'll see a lot of James Jones, Shawn Marion, and Boris Diaw in the front court. Deke can't even begin to match up with any of them effectively (as if he could keep up with the pace anyway), and they all have a height advantage on Chuck.

    I'm not usually a proponent of playing the young guys as much as some of this board seems to be, but tomorrow is the exception. You need bodies with some energy out there, and a wide open game could be perfect for Lucas III and Novak in particular. I'd like to see Padgett get some burn too. I miss the pick 'n roll between him and McGrady.

    *sigh*

    It's gonna be a long night no matter what :eek:

    I somewhat agree. I think our bench players will fare better against the Suns IF we play at their tempo. IF we play at ours, our starters > their starters.
