ClutchFans Game Thread: Rockets @ Warriors 5/2/2025 (Playoffs Round 1, Game 6)

Start fast. Game 5 we went fast, shooting without hesitation and we blew em out of the water.

 

One win away from taking control of the series.

How awesome it'd be to have a game 7?

I'm in if the team is up for it!

 

Game 1, Game 3 & Game 4 the Rockets shot 55%, 58.3% and 61.3% from the FT line respectively. 80% in Game 2 and 84.2% in Game 5.

We would have closed them out last night had we hit our damn free throws. Going to be a frustrating way to lose the Series if they don't pull it out tomorrow.

Still convinced this goes 7 games. Games have been too close.

Oh this is 100% win first page!!

 

1) Get off to a good start. The first 5 minutes of this game are critical.
2) Take care of the basketball. Don't give them any easy transition baskets.
3) Make your free throws.

The Rockets can absolutely win this one. The longer this series goes, the more experience they get(like staving off elimination) and the more the Warriors get fatigued and banged up.

I really can't stand the whiney a$$ B1tches$!. They injured many players with their close-outs (that caused a rule change) by getting under players when they closed out on jump shots. Draymond Green is the dirtiest player of the past 25 years. Then that fake choir boy Kerr goes out and whines about the Rockets challenging jumpers by hitting the hand on the ball.

Man, a game 6 in the Bay, Draymond Green is absolutely going to be wilding out. He's gonna be kicking nuts, punching throats, doing WWE takedowns. He knows that at home, especially, he can count on the refs allowing him to just be a complete dirty maniac. Steven Adams, wear a cup.

 

May the better team WIN.

Will wait to see who the refs assigned to this game are. Whatever we did in game 5, we need to do all of that again except for us attempting more free throws than them bc that’s most likely not gonna happen again. Either way, I look for Amen to be our x-factor once again.

Do the Rockets have a Corey Brewer and Josh Smith to win this game?

 

Warriors are gonna come out smoking.

I expect their offense to be crisp and efficient. If they continue to get opportunities to lace the ball up when shooting 3-pointers, Rockets are in trouble.

Rockets must match their intensity. This is the key to not falling way behind. If the Rockets do fall behind, Warriors will leave opportunities for the them to come back. The only way this is end to end Warriors is if they build a crazy big lead.

Due to familiarity, hopefully the Rockets now feel comfortable enough playing in a hostile Oracle that nerves won't be an issue.

Win or lose, I'm just very happy there is a game 6. Rockets have nothing to lose and the pressure is on the opponent.

 

The Warriors can relax. The more experienced team takes G7.

 

I have no doubt Ime is gonna game plan for Steph and Butler. I’m not gonna say I’m not worried about them because I am, I’m just saying the one who can bury us is that stupid little leprechaun. Podzemski or whatever his name is. They can’t let him get in a rhythm.
