If we go into this game with the same starting lineup, first quarter ends, we are down by 12 or more and Yao has at least 2 fouls, guaranteed. If we use the same rotations as last game as far as minutes are concerned, we lose by 20 plus points, even if Tracy scores 40. Let's hope Rick Adelman has a better strategy and not just think that having Tmac back in the starting lineup is gonna make us able to be the Suns with Wafer, Chuck and Shane starting. They will again run us off the court. If we want to beat them, Scola, Steve and Bonzi all have to get 30 plus minutes. Mike James will need to hit the open three pointer if we want to win also. Last but not least, someone please tell Rick Adelman to put pressure on the outlet passer and for everyone to pick up A MAN going down the court in the fast break and not just run to spots at the other end of the court and then look for a player to guard, IT'S TOO LATE THEN! We have to play better transition "D". Guard them full court.
The Rockets must play tight defense to win this one. I don't believe into our chances if we try to keep up with Suns' style of play. Rockets have to maintain the form of basketball they know and not try to imitate the Suns. I hope the Suns get burned.
Rockets lose this one- we still cant keep up and havent gotten a strong enough grip on the offense just yet.
If Alston is benched and they split the position between Francis and James, it will give Nash problems and Rocks win by 15. But, since thats not gonna happen, Rocks lose by whatever and Alston will have me attempting suicide again.
I like your posts, they make sense. Going 2 on 5 might work against the Clippers, it won't work against the Suns. The starting lineup must be changed, I thought this was the whole point of the off-season moves.
This game, Adelman has a chance to remake his first impression with Rockets' fans. He could use a good game plan, change his lineup and rotation, and show that we can kick this teams butts! That would go a long way to build confidence, love and respect for him as the Rockets coach. On the other hand, when he arrogantly and egotistically trots out that same JVG starting lineup, screws up the rotations, and gets blown out by 15 or more, it will only further solidify the call to have his head on a platter; no matter how early in the season it is. If he does the same thing, and we happen to barely win, he still won't get much credit because he lineup and rotations will not be acceptable to the fans; even though there is a fat chance he could be the Suns with his current system. I want to support RA, so I hope he makes some changes instead of letting his team get blown out and making the same ole excuses again; when he could have changed something to change the impact of the game.
its gonna be a tough game, but i am glad francis is finally getting some minutes. 2 good things from francis playing 1 - Alston is kind of stepping up he had a decent game against the clippers 2 - Head is on the bench where he belongs (i say trade him for cash or draft picks, i think he still has some kinda of value out there in the league) its gonna be a close game Rockets loose by 2
we haven't a chance in the world if we we don't play some transition d. key players that have to play well for a win: steve scola james mcgrady
