How many points will the Rockets lose by Tues. at the Spurs?

Lets be real with ourselves. The Rockets simply arent going to win tomorrow, so with this in mind, lets have fun with this, how many points will we lose by?

Lets consider some factors as to why the Rockets dont have a chance in San Antonio, and why I have zero confidence they will win..

    - The Rockets have never beaten the Spurs in San Antonio since Tim Duncan has arrived (0-12)

    - And during this 0-12 streak, the Spurs beat the Rockets like a drum some of the time, consider these past scores...

    97-98 season -- 100-87, 115-90,
    99-00 season -- 116-92
    02-03 season -- 98-85
    03-04 season -- 86-73

    - The Rockets tired themselves out against the Hawks, playing 3 unnesecary OTs, when it was expected they would rest their players (like they did against the Wizards)

    - The Spurs have tremendous role players such as Genobili, Horry, Bowen, Turkoglu and Parker.

    - a younger Parker schools Francis on a consistent basis

    - the Rockets are 4-22 all time vs Tim Duncan's spurs

with all this in mind, I think the Rockets will lose by 6 points, and I think this game will be pretty close because the Rockets never get blown-out three games in a row in SA (The last 2 meetings have been romps)

You know, there's a reason Clutch starts a thread for each game....

All your points are correct JBII, but Yao Ming must have gotten a buttload of confidence playing so many minutes and scoring so many points. Agaisnt the Spurs I think he will show that and dominate.

That's what one will think, then Steve and Cuttino will forget how to pass the ball to him.

I think the last Spurs game we gave them a real run for their money.. If we made the right decision at the end of the game we might have pulled out a win.

I think we match up well with the spurs and our offense has finally started to click. so im pretty excited about our chances.

The Rockets just recently lost to the Spurs by only 3 points. That is rediculous for you to say that they have no chance to win this game.

You should reconsider being a Rockets fan with that attitude

This is a road game and consider the triple OT last night, things are not looking for the Rockets.

The only hope we have is that Yao again rose to the occasion and neutralizes Duncan like he did in the last meeting against the Spurs, then the rest of the Rockets need to beat the Spurs's supporting cast.

It won't be a blowout loss if the Rockets remember that Ginobili likes to drive to his left.

Come on JB, have some freaking pride man, if u r a Rockets fan. Yeah I dont think they are gonna win Tuesday, but u know what? I'm still gonna watch the game and have faith. But there is one thing I wont do: Start a thread on how many points they will lose by......This is a Rockets fan site. Just think what Spurs fans would do if they visited? They would think we got no pride.......cause of this thread........if i were u, i would ask an admin to shut this thread down ASAP

Ha who's saying he's not a Rockets fan? We're just realistic about the fact that up until this point, with no indication of change, San Antonio has owned us. I sure will be cheering for a win but I'm not expecting one. And besides I'd rather be surprised than dissapointed.

Actually, I'm thinking about a win tomorrow.

The game will be close as always, so the Rockets have a chance if they can score at the end. Duncan has been terrible at the FT line this season, so I'm no as worried about Spurs as the Mavs.

Yeesh... probably going to be ugly.

Back-toback, on the road, after a 3OT game, against the top NBA team we haven't beaten recently...

    Yeesh...

If the Rox win tonight, then they're a legit playoff contender... but I think we're a season and a big trade away.

    Rox lose by 21.
