ClutchFans Game Thread: Rockets @ Pelicans 3/13/2022

Man we (the fans) deserve a top 3 pick after watching all these terrible games.

If we fall down in the draft that will be very disheartening.

 

I think Green is trying to create a culture of passing and moving versus everyone trying to play one on one. He's talked about that before - setting the example. I respect him for it. But yeah on that one he lost clock awareness

Same as pretty much every game this season.

There’s been no improvement and no growth at all as a team.

 

The Children with Nix at the point was a pretty good sequence.. let's hang on to that..

At least by his reaction he knew that was unacceptable

 

Anyone insists playing KPJ as main ball handler after this game is idiot.

 

Funny thing is we've seen him play defense when it's a close game in the 4th qtr.

Yeah. In a game like this with 2 bigs that NO is playing and Sengun in foul trouble… Bruno Fernando getting 0 minutes in the first half after the game he had is inexcusable. The coaches don’t seem to have any rhyme or reason to anything they do. It was the same with Josh Christopher getting completely inconsistent time when he played well.

 

Dude has terrible decision-making, by SG standards. Much less point guard.

 

This teams is young but mentally weak. When things don’t go their way you can see them hanging their heads and. Not getting back. This is where Schroeder is valuable becaue he always stays focus and keeps playing and keeps the team playing.


This typo did game is indicting of KPJ as a floor general. He as to be the leader in the floor to calm the troops and get them back on target. But he’s the main one whose hanging his head and giving up on defensive possessions and transition after a and offensive possession.

 

KPJ played some awful basketball at times that half. I'd like to see a little more Nix at the point in the second half.

 

Hopefully Porter throws a fit at halftime so we don't have to see him again tonight.

 

Both of these guys need to be off the roster. Too immature, not smart enough and honestly players like these need to come off the bench at best. Neither have the on court awareness to play as many minutes as they are currently playing. These dudes can't focus longer then a few minutes.

Beat themselves. Bad coaching. At least play well and make the Pelicans beat you.

 

Honestly I think this is the real issue. They’re afraid of how he’s going to react to coaching, position changes, and role changes.

 

It would becaue they’re playing off of bad nerves from multiple bad possesions.
