I like the Rockets big in this game. They are rolling, and the Mavs barely eeked out a home win over the Wolves last night. Yao will have a huge game, Scola and Carl Freaking Landy are going to have monster games, the Red Baron is going to light the Mavs up, and I like Lowry guarding Terry.

We take the division with a 116-92 victory. 6 Straight wins for the Southwest, and then we can all kick back and watch the Blazers host the Nuggets.

even though i want us to win the division..i think we need to lose this game in a strategical matter if the rockets really want the best chance to make it to the western conference finals. all we gotta do is get the 4th or 5th seed (preferbaly 4th) and face the blazers or spurs in the first round with home court advantage. and in the playoff bracket..the winner of the 4th vs. 5th matchup plays the winner of the 2nd vs. 7th matchup. and if we win the first round..we can beat the 2nd or 7th seed. because if we get the 3rd seed..we'll most likely face the lakers in the second round.

i'll take a victory any way it comes but i feel better about our chances in a lower scoring game.

I thought the winner of the 4/5 matchup goes on to play the winner of the 1/8....Utah beat us in that matchup last year and went on to play the Lakers(the first seed)in the second round no?

    No, No, No.

The 1-8 winner plays the 4-5 winner. The 2-7 winner plays the 3-6 winner.

Tanking the Mavs game might cost you home court, and if you did somehow beat the Blazers or Spurs, you then draw the Lakers.

Damn it, people. NO Tanking!

We have a chance to win our division and get the #2 or #3 seed. This is a test for this Rockets team, and they need to go out and show they are ready.

hate to say this but you are an idiot

the winner of the 4/5 plays the winner of the 1/8 so if the rockets lose this game like you say since it is "strategic" they not only will drop to either 4 or 5 but may not have homecourt in the first round AND then if they get past the first round they will have a 99% chance of facing the Lakers in the second round.

God you NEVER want a team to lose when the playoffs are approaching had the rockets been well out of it then you tank for more ping pong balls but not now.

I want to see #6 in a row and the rockets rolling into the playoffs
