I know it sucks when you give up and they pull it out, haha people give you sht because you didn't "believe" Yada Yada.

I tell ya what, I've felt like the bad luck at Dallas games for the Rockets for too long.

I moved up to DFW for work 22yrs ago, and my wife was more of a baseball fan and had lived here all her life so she was like "I'll root for them too, for you!" and so since 2009 she's been joining me. It's not EVERY time the Rockets are here, but I'd say I've been to...20+ or so games since I've lived here? In my Rockets red, loving it...

    They've won twice.

I was at April loss last year where we lost a 20pt lead or so in OT after Luka hit a 3 at the end of regulation to tie it and complete the comeback.

Tonight I was there and it almost happened again, and man oh man did I crumble with 3min left only up 3 after having a 20pt lead only 10min before LOL.

The last time I had seen them win was in 2009, and we had Yao, Tmac, and friggin Ron Artest haha. It was early in the season and I was believin'.

I've gone to home games and seen us beat the Mavs in Houston, but here? Not a chance it seems.

The Mavs are 28-15 in Dallas vs. Houston since 2002. I moved up in May of that year and so Rockets have won 13 games that I didnt go to... they're like 2-20ish when I go and its been so hard to see because its not that it's constant blowouts. It's heartbreakers, just a constant flow of Dirk, Luka, and people hitting massive threes and huge shots and others seeing the comebacks around me roaring and pumped.

I've only been to 1 playoff game ever, when was it? The only game we lost against the Mavs round 1 in 2015.

Last night ended up being a glorious change of pace, but once we got that big 2nd quarter lead I was dreading the rest of the game. No, I don't think it's actually ME haha but you know how it is as a sports fan. Heck the 2 games we've lost this year I was wearing my fav Rockets shirt. The 3 we've won? 1 I didn't see because of a concert, the other a tee shirt, and last night a Halloween costume at the game. We can be superstitious even if we don't really believe in that because its completely self-centered.

Anyways, I hate that I gave up. Slumped in my seat, people going out of their minds as Kyrie, Luka, and freaking Klay Thompson were nailing 3 after 3 after 3.

Timeout hit and it was like no... even if you think that don't stop rooting. Honestly, I had to convince and almost FORCE myself to cheer those last few minutes, because I felt that foreboding in my heart LOL that alert and caution to not let myself be teased by JG's late game breakthrough.

Unnecessary early AM sharing or not, I'm glad it went that way, what a night.

Lots of players are shooting badly this year including Wemby, Luka, Harden and Klay.

We beat Dallas in Dallas with our best player Alperen Sengun having another poor game? If that's the case, was he ever our best player

Sengun had 17/12/4 and pretty much fouled out Mavs bigs how did he have a poor game?

He was a key contributor to the win if you cant see that you dont know ball.

I dont think he ever got to 100% and it was a major reason for his contract chasing. He looks more "clunky" out there. Bogged down. Heavy. Not sure what to call it. He's one of the big guys at the 24 Hr Fitness courts right now. Conditioning has never been his thing I get that, but this looks different and I wont be surprised if he has to take some time off to get right.

100% our biggest issue right now. Someone needs to plug Reed into that thing they plugged Neo into so he can get up to speed asap.

Proud of our boys for gutting that one out. It's not surprising that the shots started falling for the Mavs when they have Luka, Kyrie and Klay. It was impressive the way our guys withstood that barrage and Jalen's response was particularly impressive.

Jalen Green is developing into a closer. If this continues, I believe we could really shock a lot of teams, and become a desirable destination for a superstar looking to pair with a young upcoming star like JG.

Never fear. Once Ime smartens up and puts Amen on Doncic from beginning to end, the Rockets will absolutely own Dallas no matter where they play. Thompson is over the hill. Irving and Doncic have to perform in order for Dallas to be good. They won’t once Amen and Jalen are both playing 33-35 mins a game.

People need to ease up on Alpi. Of anything he’s our most assured candidate to right the ship, and when you actually watch the games you can tell something physical is limiting him. He’s not getting nearly the same air under him when he jumps, so he’s getting blocked a lot more, and it’s not just from Wemby. Probably a lower back issue that he’s playing through. I have no doubt he’ll reassert himself as a co-breakout guy this year with Green.

Agreed. Just about everyone on the team except Jalen is in a bad shooting slump. We will not shoot dead last from 3 for an 82 game stretch (at least I hope not lol). Just a matter of time before those wide open 3s start dropping from FVV, Brooks, Jabari, etc. Until that happens, we HAVE to dominate the offensive boards to generate extra possessions in order to have a chance to win games.

It was a hard fought win, an excellent win. However 23% from 3 just isn’t gonna cut it. Also FVV has been terrible. Yes I know it’s “early” but it’s definitely so something to watch.

So much for Udoka saying he won't be playing FVV that many minutes anymore and he gets 39 mins while Reed has 5 mins lol. Need to keep FVV's minutes down because he's already shooting like crap and you add fatigue he will be shooting worse.
