If Francis doesn't play like the 6th man for the lakers like he did last night, then the rockets have a chance to win this game.

Rox win and show the Fakers they can't sleep walk through a game and beat us twice.

Anyone know why the Rockets were losing their footing on a consistent basis last night? I didn't see any of the Lakers slipping as much as the Rockets were so I didn't think wet spots on the court were a factor. Someone needs to get them shoes with better tread I guess.

Stop following me. If telling the truth about francis is a troll in your opinion, then you're pretty dense. Francis did nothing last night and handed the game to the lakers. Just listen to Walton, he commented all night how francis was just making boneheaded turnovers and poor decision making with his shot selection.

I'm not touching you, I'm still not touching you.

So Walton also used to dog out Dream and the Rox he has no credability. If you honestly think we would have stayed within 20 of the lakers last night without steve then you are the one who is dense.

They would have done more than stay within 20 of the lakers last night without francis. They would have beaten them by at least 10. Francis hurts the team more than he contributes to it. This will be addressed in the off season when Francis is traded, since this team cannot take the next step with him on the team. Everybody impartial can see this, from media to fans of other teams. The only people who can't are the SOFs.

    I believe...... we can win.

After the first game, many people talk about how we miss an goldern opportunity and lakers will wake up and blow out us. Our team has to do something to shut them up, and earn the respect!

BTW, Xenogears, give steve a break, please! You look more boneheaded than him now!

Why should I give him a break? I want this team to win and it just annoys me so much when I just watch him give away the game like he did last night with his play. This game was perfect for the rockets to win and they blew cause of Francis's play.

WHy? Because you are annoying as hell. Seriously. It's getting old man. We understand, not many people like SF. Give it a rest.

Yes, he had many TO's in that game....BUt he also single handedly kept us in it late in the game with his gorgeous drives.

On that last play, I am sure if he took it all the way instead of passing it to the WIDE OPEN Jim Jackson at the perimeter, you would be bashing the hell out of him. Saying he is selfish, why he doesn't pass etc. The last play was a good one, JJ was open.

EDIT: and about the game. We will win.

In 1999, The rockets lost a heartbreaker in Game 1 101-100 when mobley was blocked at the end by Shaq, and it seemed to affect the whole team in Game 2. the Rockets were never in it because game 1 was such a heartbreaker. Game 1 in 1999 took a lot out of the Rockets.

Man, I hope this is not the case in 2004. The Rockets must put Game 1 out of their minds and play just as hard as they did in Game 1. This is what I want the Rockets to accomplish most for Game 2, to be in a close game again, and NOT to be routed by the Lakers. If we lose, we lose, but please oh please, let it not be a rout.

I expect Malone to play better and Yao to play better, thus a higher scoring game.

    Rockets 85
    Lakers 88

And that is suppose to make up for the fact that we would have won going away without Francis playing like he did? Man there are too many fair weather fans here. You guys should all be pissed about losing yesterday, instead of just being happy to be in the playoffs. It's like some of you don't even care if we beat the lakers.

I wouldn't say they blew it because of Francis, he did some stupid stuff the first half but he actually carried them in the second half. Nobody was hitting their shots
