Pretty happy with how the game turned out considering how gassed the Roster was looking. I wasn't expecting a lot of 3's to fall considering the minutes played in Philly and that the team wasn't shooting well from 3 already.

I'm the most happy with McHale pulling Howard for 1:17s as soon as they started hacking Howard and fouling on the inbounds. The only thing I can nitpick about that is Harden should have wrapped him up.

As for how Lin can be -2, it's because he can be overlapping with people shooting poorly who overlap with people making buckets (like Harden or Lin). So let's say Casspi comes in, Lin scores 4 quick points... now Casspi goes out. Now Garcia comes in and bricks and the Knicks score... now Lin is +-0, and Casspi is +4. If Lin then goes out and Harden scores 6 now Garcia is +2 and the only person without a good +- is Lin.

+- within a single game is terrible because players with larger minutes can get really screwed as they overlap with the bench. It's more useful within a single game if you have mostly discrete units versus positional switches.

If you use +- over a ton of games, then it tends to even out. That's why stat heads say to ignore +- for the most part unless the +- is VERY large.

This explanation does not seem to work well with the Rockets. If you count all the +/- scores of the Rockets for the 10 games played, Casspi is way ahead of everybody in the team followed by Lin and Garcia. Consequently the Rockets bench. In other words, it seems to be the bench that keeps the team ahead in the games. It does not mean that they are better players than the starters, but they do their part in the rotation in a way that allows the team to win.

not really, it only shows that TT does not work... last 10 games we started 8 game with TT... and got blown out at first 6 mins of 6 out of 8 games... then the bench come in with casspi and lin and then we recover...

First time I ever agreed with Chuck...

...was at halftime when he said that Dwight has not improved at all as a player and still didn't know how to post up.

He's so right. I know it's only been a few games, and Howard's defense and rebounding cannot be denied, but all that work he's supposedly putting in with Dream and McHale doesn't seem to be translating to the court ...yet. I'm hopeful at some point soon things will click, but I worry if what we're seeing is a symptom of someone who will never work hard enough to reach his potential.

Put simply, Dwight Howard should never be shut down by Andrea Bargnani. Just plain embarrassing.

And worst of all, he's got me agreeing with Charles freaking Barkely. ******* him for that alone!

Aruba77, you should check out this site. It's full of hilarious qoutes from Charles Barkley. Every time I see him on television I picture him saying these funny one liners.

Where does this we didn't move the ball bull****e come from?. I know lin fans hate harden and are blaming him for this supposed lack of ball movement, but it is bull****e. Go listen to lins post match comments regarding the ball movement and hoe he said we got back to playing unselfish tonight. Parsons and McHale repeated those words as well.

But yeah Harden is the devile.

Knick fans on their board are complaining how they got robbed of a win. They are saying their superstar, Melo is hated by the Refs and if it were Harden he would of given the 4 points.

They are frustrated and I'm sure if that happened to us we'd be pissed as well. But Harden DID foul when he got the ball, I think there was just a delay of when Harden initially fouled and when the ref blew his whistle. Also according to Avery he said the Rockets told the refs they were going to foul in all situations.

It is always funny though when Laker and Knick fans complain about calls and hear them talk about how the NBA is out to get them. Especially Laker fans, you'd think Kobe never gets any respect from the refs according to Laker fans.
