I've noticed the Rockets start a win streak and then lose a couple of games in a row this season. Lets hope the win streak starts again. The rockets tend to surprise me against teams they should beat.
I wonder if we should try resting TMac. I'm concerned that we'd get stomped, but maybe it would also be a chance for others to step-up.
Really want to know if we are smarter than before. Still remember last game they gave us such a lesson. It showed me that we still have a lot to learn. And hope we can find our balanced offense(Yao attack inside, Tracy and Mike penetrate, David and Jon throw 3s) this game. 85:82
The Rockets don't play well against dicsiplined teams that they feel are beneath them. Jazz 92 Rocks 85 DD
It is a bad habit they've developed, but I hope they don't make the same mistake against the shorthanded Jazz that they did a few weeks ago. Control the boards and don't make Harpring look like a superstar and it'll be a Rockets blowout.
at least we can wash san antonio out of our systems. yuck! t mac looked like superman at times lately, or maybe green hornet or even the silver surfer.
No AK47 and no Boozer. I have to believe that the Rockets can beat a lottery team without it's two best players. Rockets 94 Jazz 83
Why does Bob Sura only step up his offensive game when T-Mac is out of the game??? Wish he would score more offensively like he did earlier in the year.. that's when we were playing well. Also James, Wesley and Barry especially need to get out of their slumps. Someone light a match under Yao's as_ !!!
I have actually heard that men psychologically perform better when they are yelled at. For some reason it motivates them to do something about it. For women they do the opposite. Do we need a coach to yell at Yao like maybe a pissed off Jabaar or something???
Maybe it will be a "good loss" and we can learn something from it. We better stomp them by at least 15 points.
as usual okur will school yao. tmac will do whatever he wants, so we will be in the game. it comes down do if our shooters can find thier shot, you know utah's shooters are never off. ROX:92 jholes:93
Houston(42-28) @ Utah(22-47) Tracy McGrady could probably use a day off. The Houston Rockets aren't that lucky. Coming off a game in which he wasn't a factor in the fourth quarter, injured McGrady will try to make a quick turnaround and be more productive when the Rockets take on the Utah Jazz at the Delta Center. Though he finished with 26 points, McGrady scored only one basket in the fourth quarter of the Rockets' 83-70 loss at San Antonio on Sunday. McGrady said afterward he was slowed by a right hip strain suffered in Friday night's win in New Orleans. McGrady, who is listed as questionable for Monday's game, ended up playing 44 minutes and taking 25 shots on Sunday. ``I didn't feel as quick as I wanted to today,'' said McGrady, who is averaging 25.1 points. ``I wasn't holding back because I wanted to. I had no choice.'' The Rockets, who had their three-game winning streak snapped, set a season low for points in the loss, just coming in under the 72 they scored in a one-point loss to Detroit on Nov. 30. ``We are in a deep, deep passing slump right now,'' Houston coach Jeff Van Gundy said. ``We didn't play well enough offensively to give ourselves a chance.'' McGrady's struggles in the final quarter impacted Yao Ming, as the 7-foot-6 center scored just one bucket over the final 12 minutes on his way to a quiet 18 points. Utah has won two of three, including a 94-89 victory over Milwaukee on Saturday that gave coach Jerry Sloan his 939th career win, moving him into sixth place on the all-time list. ``I'm a big fan of Jerry's and I'm excited that he got that win,'' said Raja Bell, who led Utah with a season-high 23 points. Sloan has had plenty of success during his 17 seasons as head coach in Utah, just not this season. The Jazz are headed for their first losing record since 1982-83. Kris Humphries, who's starting in place of injured leading scorer Carlos Boozer, added a career-high 17 points on Saturday for the Jazz, who play seven of their final 13 games at home.
