looks like Clutch is busy....so Ill get this one for him....;)

    http://www.clutchfans.net/nextgame.cfm?NextGameID=2724

Game Chat Starts At 12:00 pm
    http://www.clutchfans.net/chat.cfm

This is a big one....first meeting against Shaq and the Heat in Miami...

it is being shown nationwide on ABC (Channel 13 in Houston)

Lets try to keep the play-by-play to a minnimum in this thread, thats what the chatroom is for....but remember.......no off topic chat during the game pbp...the crew in the chatroom works hard to provide that service to those that cant watch the game...so lets not make it any harder than it has to be.

If you feel the need to chatter during the pbp...you can also join the alternate chatrooms.... in the java client replace #rockets with either #clutchfans or #clutchcity in a new window and you can switch between that room and #rockets.

    now...Lets Go Rockets!!

This is a very interesting game. The Heat are pretty much CARBON COPIES of the Rockets. Yao/Shaq, Tmac/Wade... and then a bunch of cast off role players.

This is the kind of game where it might just come down to which team's role players take a larger role. I think Damon Jones and Eddie Jones are some guys to watch. If they are hitting jumpers the Rockets are in trouble. Conversly, guys like Sura, Wesley and Barry have to play solid roles in those outside shots as well.

Obviously, all the hype is around the Yao-Shaq matchup but the player that's going to determine whetherthe Rockets win or lose is T-Mac.

    Rockets win, 105-94.

I completely agree. Let's not forget the impact guys like Barry, Wesley, Padgett and Deke will have as their bench is pretty weal IMO.

TMac & Shaq are buddies and I think they both will bring it. Hope Yao stands up to the challenge. Wouldn't be nice if Yao gets sick of Shaq downgrading him all the time and comes out to prove a point?

Bill Walton also says, Yao needs a power forward like Amare (a POWER forward; like that will ever happen) and better coaching and more from the point guard postion. He says if Phil Jackson was down there and they had a power forward, Greg Gumbel could play point guard and they would still win it all.

JVG's regrets and Walton's choice for Rox coach

Did anyone else catch the pre-game w/ Snapper Jones and BW? Walton talks about how he still feels the ROX need and Amare type PF(WHO DOESN'T) to go along with YAO, a better PG(which we already knew), and a better coach, suggesting Phil Jackson for the ROX but will probably take the Knicks job and doesn't think Phil is fot for Texas. IMHO I don't see Phil and Isiah geting along sooooo, if the ROX disappoint in the playoffs, does the front office flirt with Phil and try to persuade him to come to Houston? I think so and feel that Phil wouldn't mind Houston as a temporary home.

In other news for what it's worth??? JVG tells Jim Gray his ONLY two player regrets are Marcus Camby, not sure why??? And the way the Charles Oakley trial went down in Houston...
