I agree, I said the exact same thing. I think that's most of Jalen's problem and why he's inconsistent. If he's not hot, he struggles and he does not get into a rhythm. He can not get easy looks.

I love Tari and Amen carving out their minutes. They both have been huge.

While I agree with you that Dillon is not a good ball handler, Ariza was worse!

Agree with Calvin....hope Jalen is what Calvin says ....likes that he was not shooting well at all but when it came down to crunch time was able to hit a couple of big shots. Shooters keep shooting...that's what they do.

He is like a worse version of Udoka. At least Udoka only in love with FVV.

Good game. No complaints, but Whitmore getting no minutes might become an issue. The rotation is going to be tough to crack this season.

Wonder what the talk that Ime had with Sengun was ? Whatever, it certainly resonated with him and he playerd with the most energy I've seen from him in a while.

I was just thinking that! He was so, so, so bad. Especially how he'd awkwardly come to a jump stop and not know what to do. The difference? Ariza was a long 6'10". I can let it slide. With Brooks it's just weird.

Brooks is definitely more stout and better at post defense. But yes, Ariza's wingspan was insane. Probably an 8" difference in their wing span despite only being 2" taller.

Just realized I didn't see Cam tonight. Is he hurt or was he a DNP-CD?

A much needed win after the GS loss. Sengun finally had his first big game! This will give him confidence.
The Eastern conference contenders have been beaten.

Great win by the Rockets. Knicks are IMO the 2nd best team in the East and Thibs was in playoff mode so this is definitely a statement win.

And great adjustment by Udoka. I guess he heard all the complaints even if he didnt show it lol. The Rockets are neatly divided into players who are better at half court (FVV, Sengun, DB) and players who like to run (everyone else). On one hand you can say there is anti synergy, but on the other it also means the Rockets are dynamic and can take advantage of mismatches if the coach is on the ball. Tonight for example Sengun and FVV dominated and carried the team. Its up to coach to manage rotations and control the team like he did tonight. I also like how he talked to Sengun before the game. It just gives the player confidence to know Udoka thinks he is important.

Alpi played like a superstar tonight and although JG wasnt that efficient he also stepped up and closed the game out in the end. The nice thing with JG is he is now a good defender so even if he isnt scoring well its ok to leave him on the floor.

Dillon Brooks, Amen and Tari combine to form a 3 headed monster that is just a total nightmare for the other team. Props to Brunson for still scoring 29 but that was a herculean effort for him and if it werent for OG doing a Steph Curry the Knicks prob dont even hit 100. What a luxury to have 3 all NBA level defenders and props to Stone for getting them all together.

Overall I like the rotation and minutes we have tonight but now I'm just wondering how does Cam get playing time? I predicted he'd be the one squeezed out but now thats its happening its a waste for arguably a top 5 talent from the Wemby draft.

The knicks have been a very good offensive team. One of the best even dating back to the end of last year.

To hold them under 100 is amazing work.
