T-Mac did play well against the worst team in the West last night, still props to him despite his bad shooting selection in the 2nd half.

I bet tonight it's Ron Ron's turn,if T-Mac plays along with Ron Ron on the rotation, that'd be nice to see both of 'em playing,at least contribute on either offensive or defensive end.

Knicks are quick and subpar run-and-gun team under D'Antoni,I hope Yao will bounce back from the bad performance last night.

A win is much needed than anything else. Please continue winning at home.

    4 games in 5 days
1st home game after long trip
yao always has trouble against D'Antoni's team,
    Sounds not good

But the good news is Batman is back, Ron is going to play.T-mac is getting better,
    We win 101-99

TSlack shot well. If he didn't shoot well, we would have lost. Again, he was very poor on defense. Do you want to live and die by TSlack jumpers?

Oops,no sir, definitely I don't wanna live and die by his clanking jumpers. He just pulls up from any where, even parking lot when he wants to.Damn that's dumb shot selection.

He was poor on defense but he drew a lot defensive attention when he's holding the ball, directing traffic. And again,if he plays smart and stops jacking up Js like he used to do,it'll be okay with me he's on the floor doin' anything he could bring.Ron will do his part and carries the load when TSlack fails to. ;)

If Rox has trouble solving Al Harrinton's fronting, then it is a loss.

Still in the dark, not a clue.Just wondering how Rockets can figure out a way to rest all the injured and make progress instead of keeping moving back and forth.

On the Rockets Note,Rick said that we just take one step forward and two steps back.Damn, that ain't no good!If the stretch's not that tight and tough, just rest 'em all up fo the best until they're near 100%,at least 90% healthy then get on the court to spark our team.

Any one here knows if QueenBridge will be available or not?

All i can say is about damn time rick showed some backbone

    In search of consistency
With Ron Artest sitting out for the third time in the five games of the road trip, and Tracy McGrady planning to sit out tonight at home against New York, Rockets coach Rick Adelman was ready to advocate normalcy.

Though he has gone with McGrady’s plan to play every other game in back-to-backs, Adelman said he was considering a switch to letting his player rest and get well and return to the floor when they can stay on it for more than one game in a row.

“We have to figure out what we’re going to do,” Adelman said. “You get a guy for a game and you lose him again. We keep going back and forth. We have to figure out how we go on from here. We do have a little break in the schedule as far as off days, but somehow we have to start making some progress.

“It’s really not doing us any good, especially right now. We not only need guys in the games, we need them to be practicing. We keep taking one step forward and two steps back. You can’t get much done. When we get home for this stretch, we have to talk about all the guys. Hopefully we’ll have Shane (Battier) back when we get home. That will help us. It gives us a guy that we can count on and that will defend.”

Adelman said he was unsure if Battier would be ready to play tonight against the Knicks, but that he has been working out since receiving a cortisone shot before the Rockets’ five-game, nine-day road trip.

    Makes perfect sense
With Hall of Fame coach Pete Carril returning to the Kings as a consultant, no one was less surprised than Rockets coach Rick Adelman.

Carril, 78, the former Princeton coach, spent 10 seasons as an assistant coach under Adelman after retiring as the winningest coach in Ivy League history, helping Adelman install an NBA version of his Princeton offense.

With the Kings struggling under interim coach Kenny Natt, Carril agreed to return as a consultant.

“It doesn’t surprise me,” Adelman said. “He always wants to be involved. They have a good relationship there and a lot of young players.

“There are still players there he worked with before. It can do nothing but help them.”

    TONIGHT: KNICKS at ROCKETS

    When/where: 7:30 p.m.; Toyota Center.

    TV/radio: KTXH; 610 AM, 850 AM (Spanish).

    Records: Rockets 23-15, Knicks 13-21.

Key matchup: Nate Robinson vs. Aaron Brooks. Diminutive blurs and Seattle natives, Robinson and Brooks don’t get many matchups where they can look the opposition in the eye, or with a player who can match speeds,, making this one worth watching.

Rockets update: The Rockets have a seven-game winning streak against the Knicks and have won eight of their past nine home games. … The game ends a stretch of six games in nine nights. … As the second half of a back-to-back, Tracy McGrady is scheduled to miss the game; Ron Artest is questionable.

Knicks update: Since ending November at .500, the Knicks have gone 5-13, including losses in Oklahoma City and Dallas to begin their road trip since beating the Celtics. … They have gotten the high-scoring part of Mike D’Antoni’s offense, improving to fourth in scoring, but don’t shoot well, ranking 29th in field-goal percentage. They also allow more points than any team but the Warriors and allow the highest shooting percentage. … Al Harrington has averaged 22.2 points per game in 21 games since being traded from Golden State to New York.

Adelman has to take charge.....this team has too many babies, and not any leaders, so he needs to hold their hands, and spank them when necessary.

I agree with JVG, if you can play one night you can play the next.....if not...sit until you can play every game.......

I agree. Why don't Adelman just play Artest and Tracy should play 27 mins each and let the young guy wafer play the rest. I don't like the 40 mins 1 night and 0 the next. Or he should go to Morey and tell him to get head off the roster and get some more useable depth.

This IN and OUT thing is getting real stupid then you wonder why we aren't on the same page out on the floor.Fans complain about lack of Defense and offense when these dudes don't even practice together let alone suit for a game.

You wanna fire the coach trade this guy and that guy and we suck AND SO ON AND SO ON and blah blah blah. These dudes don't even freakin practice and we wonder why we are so inconsistent as a team and play down to competition.

This baby behaviour fits right into Ron's non discipline nature. He maybe hurt but he is also taking advanatge of the culture here in houston right now and that is you can play when you wanna play even if it is a cold or scratch on your arm.

Shane maybe hurt but the hypochrondriac vibe is rubbing off on him as well and I think he is over analyzing his injuries similar to tracy. These dudes don't want to play at all unless they are 1000 percent other than that playing at 80% with 20 % effort isn't enough to contribute in their minds.

I have no data on this, but I just wonder if Tmac and Ron got together and made a deal to alternate games until they are both healthy.

This is very frustrating just watching both of these players alternate games like this. Especially since I have BOTH on my fantasy team... :(

Anyways, is Shane going to play tonight?
