Just want to know were we stand as a group. I think he's really hurting our team right now and should play when he's really ready to play.

i feel the only way his knee/leg is going to get stronger if he keeps playing NBA games. the doctors think so also, along with coaches and trainers.

if that's the way that his knee can improve, then i want him to play.

it's also important that we get everybody playing together. we can't afford to wing the chemistry late in the season and expect to gel as the playoffs start.

resting and just simply riding on bikes is not going to get that knee ready for NBA action.

I doubt you can lump us together as a group. Some people can't stand him, some people will defend him no matter what.

Personally, I'm wondering how people can even try to defend this guy.

a gimp tmac is a huge liability... and it would also give other players the comfort to go out and be aggressive and score so the pressure would be off him when he comes back

I would say sit him, so he get right physically but more-so mentally. However, this team kinda sucks at playing well when he's not in the lineup, so I voted play him.

People needs to realize even though he is only 29, he played 12 seasons already.

when hes ready , he will be ready and no one will complain. i mean look what arenas is doing, he is waiting till hes 100% and his team is 1-8 or something like that. even if he sits we can maintain good standings. Chill remember last year, we ran into a slump and we got into the groove as things proggressed. sit him i mean its not like we are playing francis either, and hes recovering as well.

I think he's afraid of the thought that even if he does sit out, he'll still get injured and get even more flack for being brittle.

At least this way, he can have the excuse of playing through pain and being a hard worker even if he does fail.

i say sit him. the doctors said recovery should be 6-9 months. he's only on his 6th month. he's playing without even being fully healed.

whatever happens to the team, then we'd know what to do with tmac. if the team starts to win, then tmac's no longer needed, so trade him. if we start stinking it up, then we'd know what tmac brings to the team. we should trade him then, hopefully he'll blow up with another team and we can stick it up to all those tmac haters.

I voted to let him play for 2 reasons:

    1. Medical opinion seems to be that playing will only help him get better faster

    2. I think his "hurting the team," is vastly overblown. Yes, he is not doing well defensively, and is only good on offense in spurts, but I don't think the Rox are losing games because of this. I mean, even 50% of TMac is better than Von Wafer, and realistically, Wafer is his back-up.

We pay him the big bucks and he's still by far the best player on our team. Nothing against Wafer or some of the others, but TMac is our best option. If he or the trainers/coaches don't feel he is healthy enough to play, then sit him until he is. Until then, suit him up and cheer him on.

    Loaded poll responses much?

I think there's a medium between sitting him and forcing him to play "even if he's limping up and down the court."

Limit his minutes, let him work himself into shape for the postseason. If the condition of his knee declines and he's truly dragging his leg just to get from here to there, then sit him.

I think he should be handled on a game-to-game basis. Start him, and if he's bricking like he was against the Lakers, then bench him early.

But don't even tell me that TMac was "really hurting our team" against Phoenix, Boston, and Portland. True, we only won one of those games, but just imagine how bad things would have been if we didn't have his contribution.

IMO I think he should rest until he is ready to do something on the floor. This is just stupid, he can barely jump right now and he's getting lucky because nobody really attempting to block his jump shot. But then again, it doesn't matter because he's not making it.

Eh... I would say let him sit out if any of our other wingmen were playing worth a ****. If Artest was averaging his career average or better. If Barry could hit some 3s every now and then. If Battier wasn't injured. If Head and Wafer could somehow get hot (Wafer, while good, has only been average this season).

And plus, like it or not. Tmac is one of the team leaders in assists. You take him out and you lose even more ball movement. I know this sounds counter intuitive because you guys have pinned Tmac as a ball hog, but Artest isn't driving and dishing. Alston makes some plays here and there but his shot isn't there. Brooks can't dish consistantly. The only time Yao gets assists is when he hits an open 3 point shooter and then stroke the 3. Landry, Scola, Hayes aren't going to be dishing it any time soon.

So, yea. Let him play. Try and limit his minutes though.
