Artest on ClutchFans: Let Me In!
Houston Rockets forward Ron Artest made an appearance on the Carmichael Dave radio show in Sacramento in the wee hours Friday morning, and a fan called in to ask him a question.

Does he ever go to ClutchFans?

"Yes, yes. I'm on ClutchFans a lot," said Artest. "Dave got me on ClutchFans. I was trying to get a password and ID, but for some reason I can't get no ID. I can't get on the site. I'm trying to interact but I can't."

The host of the show, Carmichael Dave, proceeded to ask Artest if he did get an account on ClutchFans if he would try to correct Rockets fans who criticize him.

"No, no, no. I'm not going to do that -- oh yeah, I might do that. I want two IDs. I want to be a heckler. I want to be like an internet heckler," said Artest.

The former Sacramento King also tossed in a teaser gem that he might post with his second "anonymous" account.

"Ron deserves a $100 million extension. He really does," deadpanned Artest.

For those asking -- I'm not sure why Artest can't get on. Carmichael Dave does post on the site, but he suffered a 5-day wait from when he registered until I approved his and about 100 other new accounts back in July. That was my fault -- it was pretty hectic when the Artest trade happened, but it still shouldn't have taken that long. So as a result of that wait, Dave assumed that we're not letting Ron's account through, but that's not the case.

So it's hard to say if the 6-foot-7 forward is serious about having attempted to get on, but if he did communicate with Houston fans like that, he'd likely rocket from current fan favorite to legendary status overnight.

Well, for me he already did when he delivered this line.

"My kid's asleep. I've eaten dinner. I'm ready to get on ClutchFans," said Artest.

    Clutch,

I hope Ron Artest comes up with a very anonymous moniker something cool like tinman1 or madmax2 or robertreid

we as keepers of the universe need to conceil his identity cause this dude is Bruce Wayne in the City of Gotham. He's trying to rid this city of evil and this site of fake fans. I know Ron will want to correct people when he's here, but we need to protect him from all these jokers.

    Wow that's great to hear!

On another note, I'll have to agree what RonRon's story. I tired to get my account about 2-3 months back, and I wasn't even getting a confirmation email (nope- not in my junk email box neither). It wasn't until I emailed the admin a few weeks ago did he try to resend the email, which didn't get through anyways. Luckily, I think the admin manually activated it for me.

This makes me totally believe what Tru Warier is saying. Get him ON! :D

He must contribute financially which I don't think he will have a problem with... :D

Or maybe he will give enough to upgrade EVERY rookie on this board to MEMBER status, which probably will not be a good thing.

RR1: I thought the 3/2 down defensive set where you cross lateral picked the off guard defensive lane with the high post in a flank 2 configuration worked for the first 49 seconds of the game. Why the switch? I really think we could re-aquire Boki, Langhi, VSpan, Novak and give up only Battier and Van Gundy. The depth chart would be killer, grow the rotation, nurture the new players so come playoff time....

    etc.

What would his little label be? "Player" would be sort of funny. Artest rules, as does CF.net.

I think Clutch would not make him a rookie. Also, it would be cool if he made Artest a '1999er' :D

he can take some random 99er account that hasn't been used for awhile and give it to Ron Ron.

I hope Ron Ron is completely anonymous, so he can play us like he's Bruce Wayne or Tony Starks or David Banner or like Megatron

what if he becomes the next TJ or basso though?

well having two accounts would probably the way to go. one anonymous and one i guess people would know otherwise i am sure he'll get flooded with several hundred/thousand personal messages and all.

ron artest keeping it real I like it

Ron doesn't care about being a 1999er. He is too real for e-gangs.
