    4 days and counting.....

Here are my predictions on how the first week's matchups will play out:

    Houston Big Eyed Fishes over
    Dog Flats DynamoHum

    Ostin Longhorns over
    Drewdog's He-Devils

    JD's Gridiron Greats over
    Ren's Renegades

    David's Dominators over
    Joe Joe's Mojo

    Bellefontaine Browns over
    Brownsville Tortilla Factory

Hopefully everyone is going to get their roster set before this Sunday. I noticed that Thomas and Mario both haven't accessed their roster in weeks. Anyway, I just wanted to start an official thread so that we can all contribute conversationally to this league and keep it running smoothly. Good luck to everyone!

P.S.--Mario, do you really plan on using Jackie Harris as one of your three offensive flex players? I hope you haven't already set your roster for this weekend's games. :)

Joe Joe's mojo will dominate the dominators for it is Joe Joe's Mojo that dominates and only Joe Joe's Mojo that dominates.

    In another scoring/yardage league

Who should I play as third WR?
    Peerless Price
    Jacquez Green
    Tony Martin

I have Brad Johnson, Gramatica, and TB defense which scares me from playing Green, along with the fact Dungy will probably stagnate a very skilled offense.

Martin- is he starting or in a platoon?

I would start Peerless Price. Martin is aging and getting slower. Green is fast, but won't get many opportunities.

    Sorry DVauthrin,

I've been worring about my other league a lot since the draft just happened and money is involved. I remember it being reasonible, but I don't remember what it was or what scared me off....(minor but nagging injury?). Email it to me at legeisc@yahoo.com if you want to try and haggle some more.

That goes to anyone, its best to reach me a legeisc@yahoo.com. About two weeks ago, I started getting spammed to death....in the range of 60 to 100 a day with hotmail's filter taking away about half.

Less than 2 hours from kickoff....

I can't wait to see how Dan Reeves plans on using Michael Vick today. I have a feeling he is going to impress a lot of people and will push Chandler for the starting gig. When this happens, I am going to have a full-blown QB controversy on my hands with Garcia and Vick both deserving to start on my fantasy team. Maybe someone would take one of them off my hands. :)

In one of my Yahoo leagues, I've Dante Culpepper & Drew Bledsoe as QB. Someone offered a trade to me, Tim Horn WR for Brett Favre. hmmmmm. what do you guys think?! I don't need 3 QBs but perhaps I could wheel and deal some....

Well, Sandbox's tallies show that me and Ren's Roughnecks are tied at the moment with 50 points apiece. However, I noticed that they incorrectly gave Moss 3 fantasy points instead of the 1 he should have received. I am sure the mistake will be corrected, so that means I am down 50-48. I still have McCaffrey playing tonight while Ren's score should be final since all of his starters have played. C'mon McCaffrey, I am counting on you to at least gain 45 yds!

I gained that Todd Pinkston is Philly's #1 receiver from yesterday's game. Thrash only caught 1 pass yesterday and McNabb never looked for him. I hope I didn't make a mistake in letting Thrash go, but he doesn't seem to be much of an asset fantasy-wise. I picked up Conwell from waivers. He surprised me yesterday, and it seems that Warner may go to him quite a bit this season. He has good hands and should get some touchdowns. Newspapers in Carolina are reporting that Biakabatuka has been demoted, so I had to let him go. Richie Anderson will get plenty of opportunities in the Jets' new West-Coast Offense. I waived Stokley in favor of Stokes. I now have Garcia, Stokes, and Owens on my roster. Pretty good passing offense if you ask me. I took a chance and grabbed Keith Brooking off waivers and waived Buchanan. Brooking was having an awesome year last season before he went down with an injury. He picked up where he left off yesterday and he seems to be in the Urlacher mode. He is everywhere!

Overall, I would have to say that my starters overachieved this weekend. The refs cheated Warrick Dunn out of a TD in Dallas as the ball was clearly at or over the white line. Moss was non-existent in Minnesota. Garcia did OK, but I am hoping for more TDs. Wycheck was clearly the #2 TE in Tennessee last night as Erron Kinney caught more balls and also scored a TD. Maybe, Wycheck was being blanketed the whole game? I don't know. Terrell Owens faired well, but I need those TDs from him. Nedney did OK. Derrick Brooks had an uncharacteristic game yesterday with only 1 tackle and 1 pass defended. Urlacher had a below-average game too. Schroeder garnered 12 fantasy points while on the bench. Not good! Tony Richardson gained 10 points while on my bench. Again, not good! Allen looked awful gaining only 37 yds on 20 carries. He got a TD, but also lost a fumble. I am not counting on him to do much more for Baltimore. Barlow shared the RB role with Hearst and I don't think it will be long before he becomes the #1 guy in SF.

Anyway, that was my assessment of this weekend. To say the least, I may come out with a win, but my team disappointed me.

After further review, I was wrong about Moss's fantasy points. Sandbox gave him 2 points for tackles made. I guess he made two tackles after Culpepper threw interceptions. All I need now is 15 yards from McCaffrey and I win. If I don't get the 15 yards then I will lose the tiebreaker to Ren's Roughnecks since his starters scored more TDs than mine.

50/50 tie with McCaffrey playing tonight for Crow!!!

Doesent look good for me as I think Ed will get a single FP:(

I was disappointed in almost all my players!

If only Chad Brown was in my lineup:mad:

JoJo,What would it take to get Minnis from you?I really do need another guy at my Off.Flex.

I like Pinkston,I didnt know him until yesterday when I saw him play. Then I got on to get him off of waivers but I didnt see him so I figured he wasent available at Sandbox yet but he was there and Daro got him,I think.

    Daro,How about trading D.Edwards and T.Pinkston for Galloway:rolleyes:

I should have just used the damn Athlete Search like I usually do:mad:
