    Being an anti-logic team:

If Shaq does not play, Rockets will lose.
If Shaq is healthy and plays, Rockets will win.

Lakers just lost to the Knicks at home. Maybe we are not the only team that play down to the bad opponent? :)

once again kobe took 30+ shots in a game, and his team lost. let just hope he continue to shoot, shoot, and shoot. i can't wait for him to break his own season high of 47 shot attempts on tuesday against the rockets. go kobe go!

    Uhhh... there's a slight difference.

Lakers lost today's game because Lakers played without their star.

Rockets lost many games against crappy teams because those crappy teams played without their stars.

This 4 day break is killing me. I guess Rockets please do some trade today so that we can get some sanity back......or Rudy should announce his retirement.

shaq just faked the injury to prepare for yao vs shaq II. since yao has a 4-day off, shaq thinks he needs a 4-day off, too. otherwise, he might not have the energy to charge into yao's 7'5" 300-poung body for dunks.

Thats what i dont understand the rockets play like they are automatic in the playoffs. They need to play with urgency I understand how the dallas teams like that get bored. but the rockets??? they need to get in it in the gear

Yao has the playoffs in mind. He knows we lose the spot if we go down to the Lakers. He will have a big game. With 4 days off, I hope he really really works Shaq, makes him move a lot.

The Lakers without Shaq will not beat us. But Shaq will play, so it will be a dogfight.

Phoenix won today, so we need to be extra aggressive. When are we going to realize that we have a deep bench and can be more aggrressive (more fouls, defense).

    My prediction:

    Rockets 99
    Lakers 98

    Mobley 33pts, 3asst, 3reb
    Francis, 10pts, 10ast, 10reb
    Ming, 20pts, 15reb, 3blk

Stevie will need to have a repeat performance of his huge game in the last Lakers game for the Rox to have a chance. I hope he gets fired up about the chance to show up Kobe on national TV. Eddie also needs to avoid throwing up dumb bricks. Yao will do fine.

Not from the ugly side of my mind and just for the sake of our playoff hope, maybe Shaq cannot bring his full self to this game, then we have a chance of beating the Faker.

If Shaq does play his heart out, maybe his toe cannot hold up to his heart for the rest of the season after this game, then our playoff hope illuminates again.

    :)

This does seem absurd at first, but I think Shaq wants to be as well rested as possible. Also, if he plays bad, he can point to knee probs. as an excuse. In any case, I think Shaq really wants to deliver a message considering everyone talked about Yao's defense in the first 3Qs of the game.

The last thing this team needs is Francis throw up some crazy shots and somehow those shots go in and then somehow we win the game. Remember what happened in those games directly after the last Lakers game and after the last Jazz game. I hope Steve can play a controlled floor game and not get into a shooting match with Kobe. If we win, we have to win by playing the right way, the way we should play for the long run.

    Dear Franchise,

If you and Yao are the Dynamic Duo, then please be dynamic and have the duality to alternate the "Batman & Robin" roles when necessary. The Rox opponents are gonna have a harder time figuring out who's delivering the "BAMS!", the "POWS!!", and the "ZOWIES!!!". Thank you and don't soften up against the Lakers, like how you guys tend to soften up against the subpar teams, which is the revelation of the Rox insolence that leads to the prime example of NBA competitive complacency.

    'Milk :)
