We are going to kick the Kings' butts. We should go big and start Francis, J-Hawk, Rice, Cato, and Yao.

How will the rockets successfuly defeat the bottomless cohesiveness of Sacramento Kings?

Will Yao Ming's presence serve as a roadblock to their motion offense, or will they simply run the Rockets out of the gym?

It goes without saying that the Sacto Kings' offense is the best in the league :)D) however, the element of unfamilarity with Yao Ming gives the Rockets a chance at stealing one early.

The Rockets are going to have to get out of their shooting slump if they want to win this one.

    92 - 88, Rockets. 46 percent from the field.

Hopefully the Rockets will get 2 or 3 hot shooters from the perimeter so they won't have to struggle so much to score.

Match up to watch......I'm most interested in seeing how Yao does in this game. It should be a great learning experience for Yao as he goes up against Floppy Divac. How many times will Floppy draw a "bogus" charge from the officials on Yao? My guess is 3. Hopefully the staff has clued Yao in on this and how to avoid it.

We will lose this one if our team shooting is below .500

I think the Rocks will take it 97-93.

I think there are 2 teams in the league that the Rockets just play miserably against....one is the Spurs and the other is the Kings. I mean, the Kings did not even mess with the Rockets last year, most of the games were routes, but not the first one.

I would be shocked if the Rockets beat the Kings, which makes a victory over them that much sweeter.

I think we can always beat the kings....but the reason why we lose IMO is d Rockets seems intimidated...

But the Rockets defense have stepped up a notch.

Im really eagered to see this game. reminds me of the Mavs.
Francis is Yao HERE WE GOOO

The key will be defense. If we can choke Kings like we did against Sonics, we should be able to steal this one.

Yao vs Divac: Yao is taller/more agile/stronger against Divac so shouln't be a problem for Yao. Divac does have good passing skills. Defensively, with Yao Ming near the paint, I wouldn't see too many layups/drives to the baskets from the Kings. Offensively, just use the simple inside-out play in the Sonics game. If our parimeter shoots can knock down shots, we should win this one.

Interesting lineup, I take it you would have Cato try and defend Webber and Ming against Divac

IMO, Divac is going to have a thing or two to show Yao although I believe Yao will still play well. The only true mismatch I see on the court is at the four and as long as we can keep it close we can just force C-Webb to lose it on a missed shot at the end.

I have a feeling that Yao will get into foul trouble against the flop wizard...good learning experience. This is a good test for our new and improved Cuttinoless defense. I have a feeling it'll be a close game. both team in the 90s

Griffin can't shoot anything but 3s, MoT hasn't found his shot, Kenny can't hit the jumper, Hawkins is not a jump shooter and Moochie simply can't shoot, play defense or pass. So how many points can Steve, Yao and Rice score????

Defense, rebounding and a little pixie dust will win this game.

I think the Rockets can still win the game even with FG% of 45-47. But they must play as good defense as they did on the Sonics.:)

This is the game I been waiting for. Although I was hoping that our 2nd leading scorer would be there.:(

I think Mr. Griffin can contend Mr. Webber.

I don't have much hope for this game, but then again, I didn't have much hope for the Sonics game either! And look how that turned out.

Unfortunately, the Kings own the Rockets, and it doesn't seem to matter who plays.

    100-92, Kings.

Divac plays dirty and he seems to flop a lot. I hope Yao tears him up, but the Webber match is going to be a problem. I think Griffin is a good player to defend C-Webb even though Griffin is not as strong as C-Webb. If we play good zone inside and help Griff out, then this is a win. Hawkins and Christie is going to be a nice battle because of their position. Where they set themselves on the court will be a key.

The Kings are hurting -- this is our best shot to break the drought against Sac.
